Excellent full English breakfast Good value for money Clean, comfortable room with en-suite shower Good location for both beach and shopping and just 15 minute walk from bus and rail station Free on-road parking permit provided by b&b
Private toilet, but located outside room (this may only apply to single rooms).
toilet away from the room
Good, clean and welcoming, would recommend staying there.Breakfast was very good.
Could do with a lift if you stay on the top floor.
It's better than you'd excpect for a £30 room it's clean comftable has all the amieinties you'd excpect and on suite it's hard to find this normaly Shame I had to leave to early for breakfast
For what I paid there's nothing to complain about
The welcome and comfort, strategically placed for the conference and convenient for so much.
Nice location on the south side. Comfy bed, tea coffee towels provided.
Room was chilly and no heating on.
people very friendly breakfast very good indeed location great for the Spa price can't be beaten
room was really cramped and shower cubicle too small. Price you pay for a cheap room rate I suppose.
We liked the location the room was clean breakfast was excellent
The owners was very friendly room nice and warm with every thing you needed even shower gel . The breakfast was fantastic with all local Products would stay again
the bedding was lovely.
the double room was very small and the wooden bed frame had post at the bottom which were concealed by the duvet. on arrival I walked straight into the post as it was concealed.result of this was a huge bruise. I told the landlord and his reply was "oh". I asked for ice at the bar but he said they don't have ice in their bar which I found odd. at breakfast time we walked into the room and said good morning to the landlady but she didn't reply. the children were only allowed 4 items on the cooked breakfast as opposed to an adults 6, even though we had paid for 2 x double rooms ie 2 x 2 adults. I asked the landlady advice on parking outside from 9am. her reply was " don't know I'm inside here at that time", found this very unhelpful. I would not recommend this hotel.
I am getting old so the stairs nearly killed me!!!!
Esplanade gardens b&b was close to the sea and centre of town. The staff were very accommodating and the food was good and prompt. There was no -one badgering you about the time you came in and the staff were friendly. I would recommend this b&b for anyone who wants to be at the heart of things in Scarborough.
Being as it was close to Rainhill road there was a hubbub of noise day and night. Also the guests next door were talking loudly well into the morning which is why I didn't get much sleep the first night. The duvet was too warm for me also. These problems were solved by buying earplugs and asking for a blanket to replace the duvet. The staff were happy to comply.
Great b&b food great quality, hospitality excellent, really friendly, spacious room and clean.
Good value for the location. Clean and tidy. Landlady found us phone number for restaurant. Good choice for breakfast. Option for bar and evening meal.
Quite a few rules and regulations. Seagulls a bit noisy but we know the owners can't help that! Some areas a little tired looking but no major quibbles at all.
Great location, atop the resort's south bay and the Spa theatre, good breakfast, clean, with typical B&B features.
A bit overpriced, whilst the single room has a shower installed, the toilet is across the landing, the proprietor come across as a little bit weary after a long summer season
Very helpful welcoming people extremely clean even behind the bed and breakfast was very good
wonderful hosts, could,nt have been more helpful. homely atmosphere, excellant breakfast
really enjoyed my stay at this b&b, the owners,Derek and Jenny very nice people, nothing was to much trouble for them, this was mine and my daughters first trip to scarborough so wasn't sure we're to go, but landlord was very helpful with information on we're to go and how to get there, definitely stay there again
Everything especially the breakfast
Location is away from the maddening crowd of the main attractions. The place was spotless, food adequate and landlord friendly.
Friendly, top breakfast!
Too many steps to the attic
Warm welcome. Lovely, clean room. Excellent breakfast, freshly cooked. Definitely recommended.
Nothing negative at all.
Friendly and nice!
The cleanliness was very good Room was a bit cramped because we had a family room I would stay there again if we visit Scarborough once more.
Staff could have been a bit more welcoming on our arrival
