Just minutes from the Midlands’ highway network, the 4-star Chesford Grange is on 17 acres of beautiful grounds and combines historic character with modern chic.

Situated on the edge of the Cotswolds, close to of Stratford-upon-Avon, this impressive Grade II listed building offers free Wi-Fi and free parking. The popular restaurant serves fresh, seasonal food....

The staff with whom I had any contact were very polite and attentive. There just weren't enough of them.
Hallways pretty tired. More staff required.
Very well furnished standard room, lovely bathroom. A very nice hotel
Nothing to complain about
Helpful staff, clean, comfy beds
Very noisy! Wedding party the night I stayed, loud music until a bit past midnight. Good to warn people when booking? Also poor tea/coffee facilities - one cup of coffee per person only and no biscuits! Not a big deal, but seemed a bit disappointing in a 'luxury' hotel.
Very clean, very comfy, staff very pleasant, grounds immaculate......
£20 for a breakfast and not one golden egg in sight.......
Having to pay for wi-fi I thought paltrty. antiquated TVs and limited stations. Other hotels I've stayed at were all free and fast Wi-Fi.
not been before, but would go again, the settings are excellent, prices are reasonable.
Breakfast size of room
quilt much too thin cold at night a bit noisy
Gym and pool facilities excellent as was the restaurant food. Staff were attentive but waiting over 45 mins for the starter was stretching it a bit even though we were not going anywhere. Two and half hours for two courses plus coffee was certainly a steady pace but the food was good. Breakfast excellent.
We upgraded to an executive room which was brilliant in daylight but the eco lights made it very dark once the sun had gone, The bathroom was great but the shower assembly was modern naff and we had to change rooms after shower tap disintegrated resulting in us not being able to take a shower at all. Fortunately we reported a fault with it when we checked in so a problem was not unexpected. In the second room the plug assembly fell apart. It was a shame this caused a damper on the place (no pun intended) No problem with the room itself.
Serene location and lovely green surroundings
Too far from city, no means to travel if no car, wifi available only for an hour a day, porter was unavailable to carry luggage, not convenient for an international traveller but may be a good option for those living in the country, looking for a weekend break...
Location was good, staff helpful and breakfast was ok
Warned off eating dinner there by fellow guests. Swimming pool was too cold, towels provided were old and hard. No biscuits in bedrooms, room too hot and not able to open window more than an inch. Bed not made well in mornings. Bathroom had nowhere to hang bath towels, tiny amount of shower gel supplied, cheap and nasty loo roll supplied and again we were given worn out towels.
Close to Stratford upon Avon. Great Pool and gym. Good breakfast. Old part of hotel looks great.
Noisy at night due to wedding reception going on too late. Also water system made a lot of noise at night, seemed like next door or service cupboard? New part of hotel lacks character.
The service at the bar and restaurant was wonderful. The location to Stratford was great
The sell the main building look but fail to tell you that your rooms are in a new building that is more like a university dorm room
A superb location, staff who can't do enough to make your stay as perfect as possible. We only had two nights here, but the Breakfast spread was perfect, everything for all tastes..ample car parking.the housekeeping staff first class.
Having to leave after only a two night stay. If anyone writes much more about dislikes they have stayed at the wrong hotel.
Swimming pool and jacuzzi are great! Friendly and helpful staff staffed
Prices at bar and food rather expensive for what you got.
Outside of hotel looks smart as does inside. Staff a bit patronising. Gym not easy to get into. Room on ground floor right by entrance no good.
We just love Ettington Chase, mainly because the staff are very helpful and freindly, the hotel is very clean. Spa pool, Jacuzzi and sauna do the trick. Would recommend Ettington Chase to anyone who likes a relaxing weekend, at their pace, and it is only 8 mile away from Stratford.
The pool was lovely as were the grounds
Asked for a quiet room, we were kept awake until gone 1am! and woken again at 6am.. made to feel like we were in the way as we were told children were not allowed in the pool after 7pm (although told earlier in the day we were allowed in until 10pm)
location was nice ,nice surrounding area and plenty of parking spaces.
bathroom was dated and not really a four star hotel more a three star in my opinion
Location was perfect for an overnight stay prior to a seminar in the village. The setting was very pleasant and the buildings attractively set in some really lovely countryside. Rooms were rather dark and airless to be honest - a shame considering the lovely setting. The restaurant served only a full breakfast buffet (no light option available) on Sunday morning. The Assistant Manager kindly offered us complimentary coffee instead - he was an excellent ambassador for the hotel.
The first impression from one particular member of the Reception staff was poor. The young man who handled our reservation was unbelievably rude, dismissive of his charming female colleague (in front of guests) and arrogant. I don't believe this is the impression you would wish to give! Also a very complicated procedure involving pre-charging of credit cards with an additional £50 was both "unusual" and poorly explained on check-in. Not impressed!
Nice and comfortable bedrooms
Not all taxi's would take us there after a certain time Bathroom didn't match the standard of the bedroom.
The swimming pool was great for my young son. They had set times that children were allowed in the pool, the times suited us but I can imagine that this could be a negative for some families. The room was a nice size. Great shower!!
The beds are super soft. Usually not a problem but I shared with my young son and we ended up rolling into the middle because of the mattress. At breakfast the waiter had an irate conversation with another guest and loudly offered him a free breakfast, then a free room for the night. He flounced off and then came back and told the guest in a rude tone that he now had a free room. Could be seen as a positive but the whole scene was uncomfortable. Only one complimentary cup of tea for a two night stay.
Room, reception and facilities
No biscuits in room
Nice clean hotel, bedroom adequate, friendly staff.
Price of drinks and food very expensive, little to far out of main town, it was also difficult to find. Locker in changing room got stuck, it took staff ages to attend to help.
