Excellent location and surroundings.

Was allocated a disabled room, no bath. No other rooms available.

He room was OK but the bed and shower were too small

The restaurant was overpriced and the food quality was very poor

The ambience, some of the staff, ease of check in, value for money, the grounds, the room and facilities.

Restaurant meal was inedible and no apolgy provided, some waitstaff arrogant, bar service lacking and check out was time consuming and inefficent.

Excellent staff, very warm, attentive and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. Room was good very comfy bed. Lots of nice touches - umbrellas, wellys, even bicycles available for guests to borrow.

Food waas good but ot great for the price. The 'hand cut chips' were a real dissapointment as clearly frozen ones.

The staff were very friendly. The feeling of being relaxed the moment you walked through the door was really special. The staff rememebered our names, always. The bed was the best we ever slept in, fantastic matress. The Gourment menu was to die for.. very good, with excellent wines The scenery in and around the hotel was so beautiful, our view was of the old chapel and alos the stained glass windows of the chapel dining rooom It was so good, it inspired my partner to draw after a couple of years of not drawing. Would definately stay again.

I can not think of a single thing I did not like, apart from having to leave.. *grin*

The Staff! Tthe outside of the grounds and the building itself were beautiful. Everyone was as if they were there to serve you and you alone...extremely courteous and professional.

The Dinner Menu was entirely too limited. The Ruins of the Cathedral need to be kept up and not let go to complete ruin. The current owners are not interested in preserving it. However, we would definitely return.

Hotel was misrepresented by the photos on Booking.com. The hotel was badly in need of upgrade and renovation. Public areas were tired and warn out. The restaurant was fully booked, we were told the restaurant was too small for the size of the hotel. Bizarrely, having just sat with the receptionist registering, five minutes later when i approached she asked if i was staying at the hotel. Overall it was very disappointing.

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and the facilities even though there were two weddings taking place we were not disturbed by any of the guests and it didn't spoil the attentiveness of the staff to us. The pool/spa/sauna area was very nice and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful.

It would be useful to have a clock in the room.

fantastische locatie, mooie confortabele kamers

jammer genoeg meerdere zaken : 1 . stijf en ouderwets, ook het personeel 2. men wou 127 GBP aanrekenen ipv 99 GBP via Booking 3. geen plaats voor diner : ik heb dan vanuit een sofa aan een salontafel, heel onconfortabel een veel te dure schotel gegeten 4. de breedband - connectie op de kamer werkte niet 5. ontbijt in een mooie locatie, de bibliotheek, maar de koffie en de toast lieten op zich wachten, terwijl de eggs en bacon er al lang waren. 6. de inrichting van de lounge is slecht : zat helemaal vol door de opstelling, nochthans een grote zaal met heel wat mogelijkheden

Het hotel is heel mooi gelegen en een goed vertrekpunt om de verschillende dorpjes in de cotswolds te bezoeken. Het is er meestal heel erg rustig. Het eten is er lekker. Het heeft een mooi zwembad met jacuzzi.

Wij verbleven reeds een aantal keer in Ettington Park en hadden nooit klachten tot deze keer. De geboekte kamer viel heel erg tegen. De kamer die we normaal voor dezelfde prijs kregen in het verleden had een goed bed, met een goede matras. (Ik heb heel erge rugproblemen) De kamer die ze ons nu gaven had een heel slecht bed. Ze gaven ons tenslotte een suite omdat ze daar een matras op de grond konden leggen, maar zouden ons 50 pond per nacht extra aanrekenen. De matras die ze op de grond legden daar kon je de veren door voelen. We hebben de volgende nacht de matras van op het bed dan maar op de grond gelegd en zo geslapen. Bij het ontbijt kon je geen cappuccino en ook geen café latte krijgen. Er stond een rij mensen te wachten om te kunnen ontbijten, maar de tafels werden heel traag afgeruimd. (Tafels stonden meer dan 15 min leeg, zonder dat ze werden afgeruimd) Bij aankomst moesten we doorgeven wanneer we 's avonds wilden eten. We hadden een arrangement diner, bed en breakfast geboekt. De 2e avond stonden we blijkbaar niet op de restaurantlijst en was er geen tafel voor ons beschikbaar. We konden pas om 22.30 aan tafel. Het liep voor ons toch wel allemaal een beetje in het honderd. Hopelijk was het een samenloop van omstandigheden en is het de volgende keer beter.

The historic building and surrounding park are lovely, a bit more attention to renovation would help.

The staff mostly hired for a season and not well trained or managed. This lead to chaos and long waiting during breakfast and dinner. On the positive side, nobody was rude and impatient, right the opposite, they tried to compensate for the deficiencies with smile and eagerness to be of help.
