Studied as an Architect now proud owner of Ettrick Valley Yurts

Our yurts are a beautiful forest green on the outside to blend in with the unspoiled Ettrick Valley. Each sits neatly on its own raised decking, with panoramic views up or down the valley, over the Ettrick Water and surrounding hills, and has a private seating area immediately outside. Kitted out with a picnic table, a BBQ and a fire pit for outdoor cooking, imagine toasting marshmallows when the stars come out (and there are lot of stars here!). A lovely painted door, which can be securely locked when you are out on your travels, opens into a gorgeous and comfortable big round room. These are big 6m yurts, fabulously lit by the 5ft crown at the top which lets in sunshine at any time of day. Each yurt is tastefully furnished with a comfy mix of beds, sofa beds and futons, with duvets, fresh linens, cushions and extra blankets. Colourful rugs keep your feet warm and a fantastic 'Windy Smithy' wood burning stove, all set up for you to light on arrival, will keep you toasty all night long.

Set in the Ettrick Valley, through which the Ettrick Water meanders, Ettrick Valley Yurts are surrounded by rolling hills in a tranquil rural setting. Feeling a million miles from anywhere, and yet with the Border towns in easy reach, you'll find plenty to see and do here. Wander along the Ettrick Water, go fishing, cycling or hiking or sit back and relax in the peaceful surroundings. And, when the night draws in, marvel at our dark skies and enjoy star-gazing.
