Staff Location near underground Clean room
Wifi only at reception Narrow room
Our room was big and clean.
Stuff was rude and anoid when we asked something. We didnt feel welcome. Breakfast too expensive.
The price is fair given the location - right next to the clapham south station on Northern line.
The facility is absolutely minimal. No wifi. The room is old and in need of refurbishing. Won't go back.
5 min 2 underground station within zone 2! 3 min 2 super hypermarket Tesco tea_coffee facitity !!
It's unfortunate I say but I didn't like anything about this hotel or my short stay here.
There was a vile smell throughout the hallways. The room was very small and contained paint splattered furniture which was all in a very poor state of repair. The bathroom door handle was broken and a very poor repair was attempted instead of a replacement. The walls were very thin so the neighbouring rooms could be heard throughout their entire conversations. Breakfast service was basic, the fresh orange dispenser contained fruit flies of which four were dispensed into my glass!! The waitress had a response to this matter which was "it's sweet, that's why the flies are there". I couldn't possibly recommend this hotel / youth hostel to anyone, sorry.
Was close to family
Bed not very comfortable and small rooms.
The small bedroom No kettle tea or coffee Uncomfortable bed It was more a place for workers to go to
the Staff, the location near the undergroun
room on the third floor with no lift,
The only good thing about this hotel was the price.
The hotel was dirty, the hall outside our room smelled of a toilet, our room had a horrible smell also. The room was tiny, the bed wasn't even a double and you could feel all the springs in the mattress, it was so uncomfortable. The windows opened onto the baggage storage room. It was impossible to get any sleep because of the noise, people shouting, screaming and laughing and doors slamming constantly, I eventually snapped and went to the desk to complain, by now it was 1.45am his solution was to put a 'do not disturb sign' on my door handle, priceless !! Went for breakfast and walked out, they didn't have half of what they were supposed to have and what they did have looked un-edible. Don't stay there, pay a bit extra and get some sleep.
Location(shop, park and metro nearby)
Dirty courtains and chair Nail is peeping out of a bed
Great location, close to Clapham & our daughter
The waterfall that was at the entrance of our room... This was cleaned up but no new room offered. Room was very very small No wardrobe
- very good location near Clapham Common, within walking distance of tube (Northern line) and overground services, plenty of restaurants, supermarkets etc. in the area - very good value for money - the room we had this time had been refurbished recently
- there is a busy road between the guest house and the Common, so it can get very noisy during the night (sleeping without earplugs was impossible for me)
The hotel is located just two blocks from a subway station.
The internet works only in the main area of the hotel, and the matress is very old, which makes hard to sleep. The towels were very old too.
I requested ground floir room at back on arrival was put in tiny box on second floor very clastraphobic
the double room too small, no space for opening the luggage, you need to opening the luggage on the bed. noisy of surrouning, even the people walking in upper floor, you can hear clearly.
Location was great, Tesco is near, room was clean and the city is great.
Sleeping in bed was terrible, my back was hurt and I could barely walk.
Dated, Smelt, Most uncomfortable 3 Nights Sleep..... Felt like i stayed in a prison Cell
Location, if you're visiting Clapham Common for anything, it's perfect. Good balance of location and cost.
No cooling in the room, luckily London wasn't particularly hot during my stay!
Staff had no idea about anything. Didnt even know where our room was! Not to mention when finally found our room was terrible. Placed round the back next to a shed and car park anyone could walk into. The door wouldnt lock properly. Did not feel the slighest bit safe.
noisy self-important git outside our room early in the morning. Appeared to be involved with ownership of the place.
Some rooms are really nice but the one I stayed in the first night was in a separate part of the hotel, was not really clean. It was very damp and noisy in the morning (starting around 6:30am). There was also some mould in the bathroom and all in all, the room was pretty awful.
The room was grimy, dirty and the condition bad Quit a desapointment
position, kindness of the staff
find something to cover your ears during the nights
This is the location we wanted to be so suited our purposes as we used only for sleeping. The room was very small just fitting the bed. It was relatively clean. The bathroom was also very small but hot shower.
