It was very convenient and although the common areas were grubby, the room was generally clean as was, most importantly the bed. The staff were obliging. There was a perceptible unpleasant smell in the bar and common areas. It was all a bit shabby. I had to unblock the sink and the shower did not drain. |

You get what you pay for. Room needs some fixtures and fittings done to make it more modern. Was a bit noisy but late night party goes but the buses didn't seem to bother us. It was old fashioned and requires some touch ups. |

The hotel is located centrally and the facilities are better than I expected. The Breakfast was surprisingly good. I heard that there was a lot of noise, but my room was very quiet. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was that I had to leave, the staff were so friendly, I felt like at home. No complaints. |

very nice staff, clean room, no smoking location is necessarily noisy. the room was a bit (acceptably) faded. But for the city-centre location & at the price, I certainly would not complain. |

The staff is friendly. The breakfast is good. The hotel needs to be renovated. The bed was uncomfortable; wallpapers and carpets were old. The bar area smells bad. |

Great situation ! 10 meters from the bus station ! that's great when you're tired & have heavy luggage..and need a pint ! Due to the pub downstairs and the street wit disco clubs , it can be noisy on weekends.. One advice : enjoy oxford's nightlife and go to bed late ! |

Staff welcoming; room was available even though I arrived slightly before "official" check-in time; location; full English breakfast - the description said it would only be a continental so I was pleasantly surprised. The light in the toilet/shower didn't work properly - it would function for 10 second then automatically switch off, and re-work after a further 10 seconds. This cycle continued. |

I loved the staff. The lady who checked me in was of Eastern European descent. She was extremely friendly and bubbly. It was like making friends. When you enter the bar to check into the hotel, an unidentifiable smell overcomes you. The bar, corridors, staircase and my room were very very smelly. Off-putting. The breakfast was not eatable. I had a "croissant" which was soggy, probably because it came straight from the microwave. |

Love the location, the breakfast selection, the reasonable prices in the pub and the price of the accommodation. The rooms could do with updating. The noise from the street and the pub are sort of unavoidable, but they might be a real problem for some guests. Upgrading the windows to make them more soundproof would help. |
