Score from 2278 reviews Good
Close to King's Cross, cheap rates.
Tiny room, faulty plumbing (toilet flush took an eternity).
food comfortable rooms polite staff clean location
I'm maybe being a bit 'picky' here, but a lampshade on the main light would have looked a bit better.
Location is ok, 3 mins to King cross station
Room is small and bathroom too
location not expencive
cold room i slept with my coat, not clean bed
the room was properly clean and the neighborhood was nice
the breakfast could be better and is quite difficult getting a smile from the staff
Near to underground
Price is good. Room is basic but clean. Quiet area. No complaints
Not near camden as advertised. Closer to kings Cross. More annoyance than real criticism,
Proximity to st pancreas.
The staff were straight forward and to the point but friendly at the same time. The breakfast was fantastic.
very thin walls between rooms no shampoo
Tiny depressing room with miniscule bathroom (that's a euphemism). The breakfast room in the basement was one of the ugliest spaces i've ever started a day in. i didnt bother with breakfast the 2nd morning. Basically i woke up and wanted to get out as soon as i could. It was 100 euros a night--way overpriced. You can do a lot better with a little searching. Because the place is right by St Pancras and the British Museum it's tempting. But if you come to one of the greatest cities in the world, staying in a depressing little hotel will seriously dampen your experience. There are far better places for the same price in Bayswater for example.
The European Hotel provides excellent value for money and is only a 5 minute walk from Kings Cross/St Pancras station. I only stayed for one night so although the room was tiny, it was all I needed. I would definitely stay again.
Only single-glazed windows so at times it was noisy but certainly not cold - the radiator in my room was right against the bed and there was an extra blanket if needed (I threw mine off the bed just before I went to sleep).
No good points
Owner made myself and friends to be criminals as asked if friend could come up to our room while we got ready for night out. Ruined our night as our friend was so upset with the treatment she got from this hotel. Would not use hotel again. Owner needs training in customer services.
Location to St Pancras. Value for money.
Outside noise from itinerants until 3-4 am.
Location good. Room basic but clean and tidy.
Tubes. Had problems with hot water but staff very helpful and soon resolved
Price fair,location good
Rooms very small for 3 people
Small hard bed
Full English breakfast self serve buffet. Location very good. You get what you pay for.
Rooms small, dark and dingy. Rooms noisy, could hear showers, toilets flushing, taps and footsteps from surrounding rooms. Hotel reception on mobile phone rather than paying you any attention - it felt like you were interrupting them from doing something else.
great location, good value for what you pay, quiet despite the amount of rooms, nice breakfast, ideal if you just want a place to crash, will probably be back.
shower temperamental on first day,
Proximity to Kings Cross Decent breakfast Low price - cannot complain as we paid only £35 per night per person next to Kings Cross.
Although room and en suite were very small we accepted this but is it too much to ask to provide small touches like a lampshade instead of a bare bulb in the room and maybe tablecloths in the breakfast room. What a different impression this would make.
Clean sheets and towels
No lift..room too small...very dated..cold..damp in room
Neat place, close to station, well maintained room.
Minimal breakfast, could have fruits etc.
The room was very practical and well equipped, quiet, no noise at all from the door. The breakfast was very good.
The room was a bit cold, but not the bed.
The location was good - close to London Euston. There was tea/coffee facilities. Shower was adequate with good hot water. English breakfast was provided which was good but if you don't like this type of food first thing then there was little else just one type of cereal or toast.
The room was quite small with the bed pushed up against the radiator on one side. There was little in the way of toiletries and had we known this we could have taken shampoo at least. There were two small bars of soap.
