The shower was good and hot water
The dining area is very cold and uninviting. The food was not very good and appetising. I stayed 3 nights only had breakfast one morning opted out the other 2 days.
Great location. Free wifi and breakfast (though not brilliant) Friendly staff. I have been to this area many times and this is VERY good value for money.
Room could do with a clean. Only one towel and no floor mat, also bring own toiletries.
It was cheap and the bed wasn't a double it was half way between a single and a double. It was clan though and a decent shower. The location was perfect and a good price for the location. I would say it was one up from a Hostle.
The location for my needs, the look of the hotel from the outside, free wifi, comfortable bed, my own loo and shower, a TV that worked, a kettle and teabags. Everything I needed really.
sound proofing was nil. I could hear my neighbour snoring and the drunks outside at mn, 2 and 3 in the morning (when I was getting up at 5.30) was irritating. Double glazing would fix the outside problem at least. Breakfast started at 7 so i missed it. It would be nice to cater for the early birds by having cereals, fresh fruit and cold milk and juice, on hand in the breakfast room.
I just like the location and the full english breakfast.
The room was quite small, located in the last floor, without lift and narrow stairs. The wifi was not working properly. The last day I didnt have wifi at all. The room was quite cold as it seems they want to save on heating as one night there was not heating at all.
The room was very clean and the staff helpful and friendly
The first room we were offered was in the basement with a staircase from the street but the window would not close and someone could easily climb in. The second room which we accepted had a window that would close but the glass was cracked and held in place with selotape.
Convenience to transport
Location and breakfast
Only one light in the room (ceiling). A small desk lamp like I had in a previous room in this hotel would have been welcome. Drapes were unable to be closed properly to keep light from the street out of the room at night for sleeping. Also, the room was a bit cold and I had to sleep with an extra blanket and socks on.
Attractive location overlooking Argyle Square; convenient location near King's Cross station (I arrived late in the evening by train); friendly staff.
The wifi didn't work; the bed was pushed up against a radiator so hot that I would have burned myself if I'd leant against it (I pushed the bed out into the middle of the room); the toilet was squeezed into so tiny a space that I could only sit on it at an angle, which was both messy and uncomfortable.
staff friendly and hotel great location for nearest tube into central london
the location is perfect and nothing to say about that.
bathroom too small..breakfast is delicious..it will be better if they can change a little bit not exactly the same every morning
Close to the tube and other transport
The room was small and so was the toilet
1. The location (5 mins away from Kings Cross/St Pancras) 2. The price (I paid £65 incl Breakfast) was good for what you got (for London) 3. The bed was comfy and the shower excellent 4. Good buffet breakfast
1. Though it was just a base for me, the TV signal was poor 2. It was a cramped hotel with very thin walls letting in a lot of internal noise 3. Could do with carpets in the room
Very helpful staff, cleanliness, comfortable bed.
Location and SOME helpful staff. Night porter a bit miserable management pleasant and helpful. Comfy mattress.
Needs a bit of TLC and some curtains that blackout street lights. Space in room is a bit tight. Good value cooked breakfast spoilt by staff , lots of them in cardigans preping food , Yeuk, not hygienic, and talking loud and long in Russian I think. Only ate one breakfast as a result.
Good hearty breakfast
No TV remote in bedroom, only one towel, no hand towel or foot mat
A family of 4 1child 10 the other 15 and we were all happy with everything
There was absolutely nothing we didnt like 100%
location, wifi, bed. Hotel's in London at this range are never stellar, but OK. This hotel needs to make more of an effort re heating, breakfast however hot should have more of a choice and higher quality coffee, tea. did provide extra quilt, towel. Staff does try, but hotel owner could really do better.
Staff should try asking 'how' to help, rather than saying 'why not' or using excuse of hotel age. The hotel management obviously does not invest in upgrading things. Real issue is heat-no offer of space heater-which is certainly possible.
hotel entrance, and lobby and its convenience for the tube and the British Library
I was given a username and code for wifi, but although my laptop detected the network easily, there was no prompt for the codes, so I couldn't use it!
Close to kings cross, 24 hour reception, decent sized shower (would fit two people)
Tv signal intermittent, bed isn't brilliant but entirely serviceable
Breakfast poor quality and no space to sit and eat and no clean plates / cutlery Room was tiny
Breakfast is good
