Clean room, a lot of space. Quiet halls during the night and not a lot of noise from the streets. Grocery store within a minute walking distance, bus stops nearby and a 5 minute walk to the nearest tube station. Plenty of stores and restaurants in the area, athough its a very expensive neighbourhood. Lots of museums nearby. Staff offers luggage deposits for the day of departure.
One of the mattresses almost fell apart, could feel the springs. No drinkable water in the hotel except for 1 sink in the kitchen Locked drawer and closet in the room with no key provided Shower area remained very unclean for the entire stay. Many instructions throughout the hotel aimed at students made some things confusing. Unable to open windows in the room.
The entire staff was helpful and very welcoming. The rooms are huge (twin bedroom) and everything you need is around the corner. So perfect point to start and finish sightseeing every day.
The toiletts and showers where not as clean as I like it but for a weekend trip it was okay.
reception staff was very friendly and helpful room was spacious and clean
The hostel is located on a busy road. The single glazed windows offered almost no reduction of traffic-noise at night time. Had to use earplugs
Great location, with good public transport and food services
Location, staff, facilities and cleanliness and to be able to store our luggage because we arrived too early to check in and we had to checkout a few hours before we departed London.
Got disturbed a couple of times during night, but that was because the weather was great so we had to have a window open. So! nothing to gripe about. It is great location to stay while you visit a great city.
I stayed 7 nighs in early August, and it was a pleasant stay. Only about 10 minutes' walk from Gloucester Road tube station, in a quiet neighbourhood.
As I said, great value for money. Super near the underground station, and only a few stops away from central London. The room was large and clean, and it was a nice, quiet location. Overall, it was definitely an enjoyable stay.
All fridges were locked, and our keys didn't fit in any, so we had to make do without some foods. Also, we stayed four nights, and on the second the toilet paper finished and was not replaced (it's ok because there are several toilets, but still...).
location wifi price/quality reasonable for student dorm fine for short stay kitchen facilities, showers are clean
water from tap not drinkable? no lift walls very thin limited en-suite
Perfect location, very helpful staff. The area is beautiful and quiet.
Only positive things are the staff was excellent and the bus stop was very close
Very dirty, the walls are all layered with dirt. There are no rooms with a toilet attached so you have to go across the hall or down the stairs to get to one, and there's only a few on your floor. The whole hotel smells awful, like onions and rotting wood. NO lift. We were on the second floor and had to walk up 4 flights of stairs with heavy luggage. Wi-Fi only works downstairs not in the room. Close to a bus stop but not the tube. Showers are small. The beds are ROCK HARD. It feels like I was sleeping on the floor, not a bed. No air conditioning. No breakfast. I found a huge spider in my bed one night and several other bugs throughout the hotel. Not even a hotel, more like a run down hostel. Will not stay again.
very good location, not noisy at all staff is super friendly very helpfull for extra information
no double bed (as a couple it would be nice)
Like most of the things no complains really. the location is fantastic, although there are many rooms it was mostly quiet and very clean.
If you are sensitive to noise the rooms can be a bit noisy depending on who is in the next room. It was very hot in London on those days 30 Celcious ( unusual) so it got quite hot inside as well.
-The beds, they were very comfortable. - The staff, they were very helpful - The location, 10 minutes walk from the nearest tube station (South Kensington) and a bus stop around the corner. Also two supermarkets around the corner and a 24-hour one a ten-minute walk away. - Presence of a kitchen.
- The heat, windows can only be opened a few inches, not enough for any ventilation - I would have liked some crockery and cutlery in the kitchen
Location was excellent, staff very helpful, huge room, available kitchen with applicances, bathroom close down the hall, sink and mirror in room, working windows in room. Fast wired internet (cost 5 pounds a week, not a bad price)
Bathroom smelled like horseradish, not enough hooks in shower stalls, very poor ventilation in hallways. No wifi in rooms (only common area in adjoining building). I would have paid more for wifi in rooms.
Perfect location, great neighborhood. Close to some of the best museums in London. Good food everywhere. Beds were comfortable and the room was nice and roomy.
No fresh air, especially on the fourth floor. Staff didn't show us anything, had to find out where our room was by ourselves. Wasn't easy. Kitchen had nothing in it and also the fridge didn't work. Very old building, smelled like it as well. Was very stuffy inside and the windows didn't open enough to allow fresh air in.
Very central location. Quite environment.
Stayed for one week but room not cleaned throughout.
Location is good and value to stay
Hot at night due to no air con, no wifi provided
You can't beat the location in the heart of Chelsea. The building from the outside was gorgeous.
Oh boy... where to start. The overall facilities were totally rundown. The carpets and common areas were dirty. The mattress were awful; you could feel all the springs. The showers overflowed because they were clogged. The toilets didn't flush properly. They advertise kitchen facilities but there are not kitchen utensils available. This place needs a major remodeling to get the basics running so that they can accommodate guests.
Great location, great reception personal, great staying in lonon, thanks so much!
Loved the handy location, great value for money if you are wanting to stay in that area.
While we had full use of the kitchens, there was no cutlery, dishes or pans to use.
Clean rooms Friendly staff Clean lavatory
Great value for money, especially in London
There was nothing that I did not like, however travellers have to understand that this is a hostel not hotel. Actually it is a student residence converted to hostel for summer months.
Location to several bus routes with connection to the tube was great. Kitchen was well kept. Cafe's and grocery stores nearby..short travel time to sites..
Beds were Terrible! Staires are only choice to the 4th floor. Make sure you are clear on how high you will climb. We had to fight for a lower floor. Higher does not change price
