Very convenient for Station. Adequate room facilities and very comfotable, albeit slightly small double bed. The hotel is due a re-furbishment. Corridors are quite gloomy with worn carpets and battered corners and skirtings. Room similar to a lesser degree. No excuse for mildew around the bath with the range of modern fungicides available.

A very cosy hotel conveniently located close to the underground with easy links to the city. Easy to find with good secure parking. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable but could do with a refurbishment. Very good price and the breakfast which was included was excellent in the restaurant pub situated next to the hotel. We will certainly use this hotel again even though it is slightly run down. If this hotel was updated it would be like a 5 star hotel. Hotel was looking tired and needs a complete refurbishment but the service and friendliness of the staff made up for it. Tv very old and was suppose to be a colour television but picture was in black and white only.

The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. It is situated just across the road from Rickmansworth tube station with good Metropolitan line into London. You can leave your car in their car park. The breakfasts were excellent. It was clean. The shower in the bathroom was pretty powerful and there was plenty of hot water. Good value for money. The decor was a bit tired and shabby in places.

The room was nice and warm, the bed was very comfortable and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The overall impression of the hotel is that it is very shabby, in the public areas and the actual rooms. The bathroom was very poor, black mould on the tiles, rotten wood were the shower was continually leaking. The shower head itself would not stay in one position and was constantly moving whilst having a shower which was a pain in the neck. The room was shabby and needed decorating.

Evereything is as expected in terms of cost, value for money, hotel facility and staff service. Only unhappy point about the hotel is is 1) No early check in and late check out flexibility due to the lack of staff cleaning rooms and 2) Breakfast hours is only up to 9am

This hotel was probably once very good, but is now in serious need of refurbishment. The staff I dealt with wer all young, cheerful, enthusiastic, efficient friendly and helpful. However, I did feel for them, having to work in such an obviously 'tired' old building. The best features appear to be the breakfast, which was both well done and efficiently produced, and the reception area, which was bright and staffed by an efficient, friendly receptionist. As a business customer I would be a repeat visitor only if the rooms were upgraded; for an extra £10 - £20 there are plenty less shabby establishments in the area to choose from.

Breakfast. Staff in hotel. Hot water. Corridors cold. Carpets threadbare in corridors and bath well worn. No lift for cases. With reception closing at 10pm it seemed a complete dive with nightclub around the back and was anxious about safety returning from dinner with friends.

The staff were helpful and freindly. The food was good. The rooms were clean. The ground floor reeked of damp and sewage and we asked to be moved to the first floor. (This was done with no problem). The armchair has gone from the room and the overall standard of the rooms has dropped over the past couple of years; i.e. stiff taps, tatty towels, loose drawer fronts, worn carpets in the corridors. The bar and restaurant closed at 9 p.m. on the Thursday evening cutting short our family get together.

The staff at this hotel are lovely ,as I am on crutches I asked for a room with easy access which was right near the reception so everyone passed by our room but we were not disturbed at all .Yes the bathrooms are in need of refurbishment but are clean and I did not notice any smells of damp at all. An all round enjoyable stay and shall stay again.Breakfast was fab . Ignorant guests who parked their transit van on the disabled space

Shocking!! Damp and mouldy throughout the whole hotel but worse in the room... The smell was awful. Very noisy and no lift so had to carry luggage up stairs the bathroom was dirty and there was wallpaper missing from the walls. After hardly any sleep due to noise the maid decided to bang on the door at around 9am at this point I gave up and left. Due to the hygiene issues of the room I decided not to use the bathroom facilities and visited local family.

Location very convenient to Mount Vernon Hospital the bathroom was adequate. The bed was comfortable all the linen was clean and in good repair The room smelled of smoke. The other occupants were noisy in the early hours but a colleague in a different corridor says it was quiet. Perhaps rooms could be allocated every other room unless really full and single occupants put near each other as there is less talking than with shared rooms.
