Assistant manager was helpful regarding our experience (see below) and offered to change our rooms but the experience we had with other guests was so unpleasant we did not wish to have our 2 further nights ruined and decided to find somewhere else, especially as the lads mentioned below were not leaving that day. They were also threatening to the assistant manager and as well and I feel there should have been someone with more responsibility to handle the situation and throw them out - see details below. This was the first time we had stayed in a Holiday Inn and never again will we do so. We did not ask for a reduction but the Assistant Manager offered reduced the bill by £20 which we appreciated. Slamming of safety doors all night, rowdy lads occupying nearby bedrooms yelling and using foul language in the corridors late at night and early in the morning. When ask to keep their noise down, they threatened to 'smash the face in' of my 80 year old husband. Also people in the adjoining rooms arriving in the night with a child made no attempt to talk quietly and as insulation between the rooms is not adequate, we could hear all their conversations and crying child. |

Quite a good centre for touring Devon. I deplored the lack of drawers. Absolutely nowhere to put underwear, jewellery, medications. Hanging space was totally insufficient. |

Good location, good sized rooms with decent ensuite facilities, good temperature in rooms (air conditioning) Mix up at reception meant another guest was also given my room a couple of hours after I was, the Breakfast buffet area was a bit on the small side meaning it could get a bit hectic when busy, the feed-back questionnaire in the hotel room had already been filled out by a previous guest over a week ago. |

The hotel was efficient in every thing, from check-in, breakfast, internet access, and even the meal in the Owl Barn pub next to the hotel and check out. No problems at all. If any thing it is a little expensive for what you get. |

Great location with excellent pub-restaurant next door. Great value for the time of year we stayed (July). The smoking area outside the front entrance. |

The hotel was easy to find and close to the motorway. The room had all the basic requirement and was clean. Bathroom a good size so not bumping into each other. Pub within walking distance for evening meal. Good breakfast choice. Family room quite small and sofa bed uncomfortable. We have a 4.5 year old daughter and we were fine for space but two adults and two older children would be cramped. |
