Comfortable and the stay here suited our purpose for a Xmas party nearby.
My husband was most upset that there was no bacon for breakfast.
The staff were excellent - friendly, helpful and professional in all aspects. The hotel is well placed for the city and the airport. The rooms are comfortable with easily controlled air con, a good TV, good WiFi packages (basic access is free and good) and very comfortable beds. The shower and towels are the usual good standard expected from HIExpress. Snacks and drinks are available and evening meals can be met via local takeaways, which the staff help to facilitate and which can be delivered to the hotel. Breakfast is good.
Signage to the hotel from the roads on the Industrial Site could be improved as it's easy to miss the entrance, though this is a minor detail. If supper could be provided (as it is in some HI Expxress) that would be perfect.
Very close to Bus route and a lovely pub
no real dislikes
Friendliness of staff and improved WiFi and bed comfort
Toasters! They either under do your toast or cremate it! The coffee is disgusting. No other word for it
Stayed here several times before same excellent standard and value for money.
Over all a great stay
breakfast was the only problem as I am Coeliac and could only eat a couple of items Bedroom floor was bitty and stuck to my feet
The building is clean and smart. Rooms are of generous size with very comfortable beds and high standard shower room and toilet. Standard HIE breakfast menu with a good variety. Very friendly and helpful staff on duty for breakfast time.
We were not aware until we arrived after a long drive that there was no food served in the evening. We didn't realise that the Barn Owl pub was so near until the next morning. Maybe the website could be clearer. Smell of smoke lingering in the main entrance porch which is clearly labelled as a non-smoking area, but usually had someone smoking there.
This was a brief overnight stay, and the room had everything we needed in a relatively small space. Remarkably well designed and spotless. Very comfortble bed. Overall, excellent value for money.
The most important were the staff, We had overslept and just missed breakfast, after calling reception they very kindly said they would get something's together for us to eat, and turned the toaster and coffee machine back on for us. Nothing seemed too much trouble Nancy
Price location cleanliness
Car parking on late Saturday and pillows
4 am in the morning doors slamming outside our room. Not impressed with the Barn Owl food
Location was excellent, staff friendly but the rooms were Frozen and took an age to get it right and comfortable, by this stage it was time to get up and leave. But overall very good hotel, can't comment on food as I didnt dine.
It's December and we are just experiencing a late Winter, I therefore think the rooms should be pre-heated before the arrival of guests, especially for the likes of late arrivals
Clean , staff very friendly/helpful
needed to ask for more milk & coffee
Staff excellent and convenient for visiting friends.
Poor overall lighting in the room. Elderly people often have poor sight and this doesn't help them. Bed a bit hard and heating either off or roaring away. Quite disturbing.
Convenient for M5, Exeter airport and Park + Ride. Well appointed room and comfortable bed. Cheerful and efficient staff, who took trouble. Breakfast exceptionally well organised, with good variety of food and fantastic table-clearing and wiping.
Stains on elderly carpet in Room 203.

Great for gluten free vegetarian like me!
Could do with porridge on the menu
Closeness to city and to motorway Easy parking. Not too much traffic noise Breakfast included - easy self service and well serviced by staff
Wi Fi was not straightforward but worked eventually
Excellent and friendly staff. Breakfast is excellent with good variety. Location great.
WiFi Should be free and accessible from my room No where for privacy otherwise.
the location for park &ride into Exeter was excellent. the staff were very friendly. The location to resturaunts was good. The breakfasts were very good he location was excellent for park and ride services into Exeter town centre
Staff we brilliant
Beds way to soft
The welcoming staff were competent and helpful. The hotel was clean and generally quiet. Self-service breakfast was quick and easy and very good.
There was some noise late at night in a room near us
Staff are really nice and helpful.
Synthetic duvet felt like sleeping under clumps of rubber. It was way too ho also would be nice if there was in-house food. The pub next door has a pretty limited menu.
friendly staff clean hotel good price
Breakfast was poor Beds are not very comfortable
The location was good and we used the bus to get into the city. The rooms were smart and well laid out. The staff were very helpful.
The breakfast wasn't as good as I expected, the layout of it was difficult and a bit cramped. The bed was a bit creaky, so I didn't sleep as well as I'd hoped.
