People smoking outside my window
When I arrived at the reception , the person that was supposed to welcome us and explain how the hotel works ( control of the tv, breakfast and the position of the plug to light up the room) was to busy on the his private call that make us feel uncomfortable, talking in other language and looking at us, we are for other country as well but we were talking English, it was real rude, for that I'm 100% sure that I'm not coming back, and yes for me the hotel is everything including the staff that works there.
The location was OK, just 5 min walk from Earl's Court Station.
The pictures where looking nice. The reallity was just the opposite!! I was travelling alone and I requested a quiet room! 1) they have no elevators and tiny stairs! Do not go there with heavy bags! They gave me a double bed downstair, next to the kitchen on the street side... People was downstairs all the time, talking loud, eating. On the other side of the room ( street side) they used to smoke and it was the garbage are. The smell of cigarrete and garbage was disgusting! The room was very very small! Dirty and full of damages! The same as the bathroom! Unhealthy to Sleep there! The guy at the reception was never there and they have no place to keep your lugagge if you arrive earlier ... Breakfast... Basic continental and you had to clean almost your plates!
I liked location of the place. It was close to city center.
The room was extremely small, you can not not fully open door to bathroom because of bed in the way. Not functioning heating system just air-condition. It was freezing outside but I was heating my room using air-condition!! It happened to me for second time that I was disappointed from my booking - booking.com sucks and never more.
Fabulous location - 2 minutes to tube, close to restaurants and grocery store, Great staff- friendly and accommodating Room was tiny, but bathroom was modern and spotless. Just remember you're NOT in North America. If you set your expectations accordingly, this is a great place to stay.
Thin walls could be a problem. In my case, they moved the snoring individual next door to another room and all was well. No tea-making facilities are provided, but then again, there was no space for them.
The friendliness of the staff, the location and the variety offered in the complimentary breakfast.
The location was ideal for sightseeing close to station vey helpful staff
Can't think of anythink
Friendly responsible kind people, lovelyview in room, clean tidy, simple and unfussy. Well informed and intelligent and kindly let us have the TV remote , but by that time my friend had worked out how to use the buttons on the smart TV itself. A treat being able to listen to the radio.
Missing what looked like a brilliant breakfast buffet strict on times but we did enjoy the late night drinks available for self service . time keeping may just have been my experience of the place, I was not a regular guest and a good sign is having regular returned guests which they have here it seems.
No wardrobes to put clothes in just 2 coat hangers to hang up clothes, room so small one person had to stand by the door while the other got ready. Breakfast room dingy like a youth hostel were everyone sits on benches at long tables breakfast finished to early. No tea coffee making facilities in rooms. Would not advise anyone to stay at this hotel have stayed in better youth hostels for a lot less money.
Where it was located
Beds uncomfortable, and were not able to supply a double bed room as booked and so we had to sleep in a tiny twin room.
location is good
the size of bathrooms tooooo small disappointing should be 1 star
Clean room .. Staff is cooperative
Tight room ..No capboard..
- Reception staff was very friendly - Nice location, pubs, restaurants, supermarket, boots..tube station all very close by - no cold & hold tab, but a mixed tab = nice warm water - not too expensive (but you really get no luxury at all)
- tiny room, 12m2 incl. batchroom - cleaning staff was very rude - not really clean - except the washbasin, nothing in the bathroom was attached / everthing was broken: blow dryer, dustbin, shower doors, the thing the holds the shower to the wall, toilet seat... - we got a tiny room on the top floor; ie climbing 6 stairs everyday -thin walls - no cupboard - breakfast only served till 9am!
Easy access from the tube. The breakfast was good and the bed comfortable.
The room was pretty small and the bathroom was way to small! We got a room in the basement but ok for one night.
Bathrooms were tiny, toilets are right next to the sink and you cant really sit on the toilet properly, and very noisey location.
People were lovely. Great location. Good value for money.
Wifi didn't work hardly at all
near subway station
stairs tidy room Wind make the window noise all the time cold
Location, very close to earls court station.
The staff were rude and unhelpful.
Great people, very accomadating but felt i had been conned regarding the room i stayed in the first 2 nights.. It was barely a cupboard not ideal!!!
The room was depicted as being larger than what it was, let alone the bathroom facilities!! I had to have my feet in the shower to sit on the toilet!! It was a good use of space but not ideal being a taller person!!
Daytime/morning receptionist was nice
Night/evening receptionist was not very welcoming
Location Good staff WiFi is good, but disconnects every evening :)
No space to keep cosmetics or hygienic stuff Dirty floors under the bad
The place was good value for money. Really close to the museums etc. Breakfast was fine.
The room was tiny and cramped. The bathroom fixtures were loose and the shower was not nice (had a mind of its own regarding hot and cold water). Make sure you get everything you need from the reception the first time round. I went up to top floor to my room, but the door key would not work. Went back down to the reception to find out that the receptionist had put the wrong room number! Back in the room, I realised that you need to lease the remote control for the tv from downstairs. Came back to reception and got the remote. That much exercise was the last thing I wanted to do after travelling all day. I hope my fellow travellers learn from my mistakes.
Value, good breakfast and location
Bedroom too hot
