Booked for one night as I needed to be in the area on business .For what I needed it was difficult to fault-very helpful staff, easy check in,good quality clean room and pretty good breakfast thrown in as well. Can't really comment on the location as it was ideal from a business point of view.If all hotels I stayed in did the basics this well my life would be easier.

Having stayed with you before I did not opt for ordering an evening meal from your menu as I was not impressed with the standard. I therefore ordered a take away curry and only one menu for this was available. The order took over 1.5 hours to arrive and when it did it was luke warn and swimming in grease. The overall quality of the food was bad and if I hadn't waited so long and was so hungry I would have complained and sent it back. As it is I managed to pick a few pieces of chicken and some of the rice to at least keep me going until breakfast. I suggest you consider an alternative take away supplier or a choice.

Clean and comfortable.. Just what was needed for a 1 night stay.. Friends were staying both at this hotel and the suites hotel (opposite) for a family party. The shower screen is a little bit too short... The bathroom floor was soaked each time we showered. we were happy with all other aspects

Excellent room, great service, clean and well kept hotel. The bar was a little empty and the breakfast was limited - but excellent value for money A bit isolated - no pubs or shops nearby

Comfortable, easy parking. No restaurant or room service menu. Nowhere within walking distance to get a proper meal. Noisy intoxicated people on the corridors at about 3am, although didn't last long.

Location - was close to the venue we were going to. First room smelt of urine and we were moved. Second room was noisy and had tissue stuck into the window vents we were moved again. Third room was better but the bathroom ventilation did not work so the bathroom steamed up and mirrors were useless. Breakfast OK but a real scrum for it and not enough seating for the amount of guests staying.

They arranged a ground floor room close to entrance as my partner had walking difficulty due to spinal operations and needed crutch assistance. Room etc was fine staff great. Food at breakfast could have done with another form of keeping it hot as it was relatively cold when we were ready to eat. Only problem was coming from st helens side signage was not very helpful (there was none) had to travel through industrial section and ask directions from security personnel at a factory

Good standard of accomodation as expected in Holiday Inn Express. Good standard of cleanliness, friendly & helpful staff. Good value for money. Breakfast buffet hot dishes were not very appetising - had obviously been under the hot lampls for some time. Toast was slow to produce in a conventional type toaster. This would have been much better and easier if a toaster with a rotating belt was available. Unusually for this type of establishment there were no proper dining possibilities on site. It is necessary to settle for a takeaway, eat at the hotel on the other side of the road or travel further afield.

You get what you expect for the price and style of hotel. This is a superb up grade motel and I would recommend it as such. Very clean, very well run with a good car park which we felt ok to leave our van safely in even with stock in. Right next to the motor way junction on an easy route into Liverpool centre but in a quieter spot so we could leave windows open to sleep and not have to listen to traffic etc... Friendly helpful staff, a good cold buffet breakfast included in the price compimentary newspapers at breakfast nice added touch ( didn't go for the sausage and eggs the only hot choice which seemed a bit dry) . Plenty of tea and coffee both at breakfast and in the room to make yourself. The rooms are large by gb standards and we used the put me down sofa for two of our team so had 4 adults in one of the rooms and it felt fine. Clean and smart bathrooms with large power shower but only downside for me no bath. We've used this before and will again. ( if your after night life in Liverpool just be aware it's a bit further out than some hotels so taxis don't always like to come out so far very late at night but hotel staff were helpful and provide a list of those that will. ) Nice ground floor lounge area bit functional rather than cosy but for sitting in if you don't want to be in your room alone or if travelling with friends and a great place to get together also has small bar for drinks. Recommended for business travellers especially but also those who want to visit Liverpool to shop etc on a budget and don't want to be in a big city late at night. Slight downside it's a car ride to get good quality food. You get what you expect and you get it at a good standard. Very nice no complaints
