In the heart of Leicester, less than 550 yards from the train station, this elegant Victorian town house is now a family-run boutique-style hotel offering free parking and stylish rooms with private...

30 minute walk to city centre and 20 to university and the park. Free parking and free WiFi. Decent healthy breakfast with scrambled egg, toast, croissants, cheese, cereals, juice - no sign of nasty fry ups. We stayed here to take part in Leicester marathon. It's very convenient for that.
Everything was fine for our stay. However staff told us it is noisy and rowdy in this hotel when Leicester City FC play in the adjacent stadium.
Good location, clean rooms, but rooms facing stadium are noisy, rooms facing canal are quieter.
New Policy requiring a £50.00 security deposit and staff refuse to book you in if you refuse to pay also wont refund so you can go elsewhere. If policy should be shown clearly when booking. Breakfast a disaster with people eating in meeting rooms as resturant was full, staff being swamped with unhappy guests.
Room above bin store awful don't take room 225. Under refurb without letting anyone know and no room for breakfast and no one seemed that bothered
The location was great, very quiet & away from busy roads
My first room was dirty, I think someone should inspect rooms prior to booking ppl, I was give a better room in less than a minute but the sight of the privious room was unpleasant .
Perfect location for both Rugby and Football matches Ample parking Quiet
It was nice of staff to give us a special key so we could run a cool box with baby milk in it. Overall a very baby friendly service and accommodating to our needs with regards high chairs etc.
Large Bed and Room size. Friendly staff. Later.than expected check out time.
It was quite expensive to and from city centre by cab.
Location was perfect
Restaurant next door, after a long day travelling & working it is good to know you don't have to get in your car to go anywhere. Also plenty of parking spaces.
Breakfast Shelf in bathroom caused injury to head
We wanted a city centre hotel and this just was to far out ! We had a get a taxi back and forth not great.slsp the breakfast was very poor scrambled eggs n beans was the choice of hot breakfast! Very poor!
The location was excellent as we went to the rugby ground nearby. After the game we came back to the hotel, the bar was open and we had a couple of drinks then went to bed. We don't like having the air conditioning on as it tends to be a bit noisy, so we had the window open instead. Unfortunately with having the window open meant that we had to put up with noise from the football grounds local disco till late ... Then we believe the bins were emptied in the early hours ... Like I say, great location and the breakfast was OK too .. Just a bit noisy
Staff - they were particularly friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable.
The impression given was that it was within walking distance of the train station. this is not so, and anyone who had even a medium sized suitcase would struggle to walk to the hotel.
Poor quality breakfast
Location was the primary factor when choosing this hotel, and it was reasonably priced.
Two UHT milks for a double room is not satisfactory. Perhaps I am old fashioned in preferring my tea with milk. Really don't want to be bothered with calling down to reception for something that should come as standard. As for the pillows, although there were four, the total amount of filling would barely amount to one decent pillow. Breakfast was fair but the OJ was obviously from concentrate and not to a good standard. Fair to say, I will not be returning to holiday inn in future.
Liked the location, size of the room, facilities and friendly staff
The mattress we had was lumpy and we didn't sleep well, have complained and am waiting to hear from them, staff did say the hotel was due a makeover so new beds should be part of that..suggested they use the beds the premier inns use!
The ambience of the hotel. Budget, but not cheap-feeling

Breakfast and its layout
Bed, damp smell in the hotel?
Staff and Facilities and Location were really Good
The bed was appaling, like sleeping on a trampoline.....its springing was across the bed and not individual, terrible nights sleep.
Lot of rugby fans from both teams, great atmosphere
The service was good
It was perfect location for us - near to De Montfort University halls, where we helped our daughter to accommodate in. WiFi was stable and speedy enough, we had nice view to King Power stadium where Manchester United was defeated few days after we left, so nice place for a football fan ;) We liked tea and coffee facilities in room, as it was good to have pot or two of hot drink after the hard day.
50 GBP deposit (returned after some time) was quite unexpected. Entering WiFi passwords (provided for free) every day is a bit annoying. Sausages on breakfast were not tasty. Bigger breakfast food selection would be appreciated.
Meh, ok for comfort and just one night.
Not much choice for food...
