Holiday Inn Express Leicester    

Friendly staff, very efficient check in, basic but comfortable rooms. Breakfast was not luxuary but enough for a basic start.

parking facilities. person on duty on reception was knowledgable of area. He had to man reception, answer phone enq.etc. also man bar and deal with food orders.

lack of hanging space for clothes. Do not cater for people staying for more than 1night. Views-football stadium was ok, but pylons awful. Breakfast - same every day,would have been nice to have a choice for cooked breakfast instead of saus.scrambled egg,beans,boring. Bus service - had to walk to main road unless use taxi

Location, spacious room, value for money

The room itself was fine and the cleanliness levels were high. Staff were also polite.

I was annoyed to find I'd been given a smoking room, which had not been requested. I didn't have time to change it as we were off to a wedding and rushed, but the room was smokey and unpleasant because of it. It was also too hot - the air con wasn't effective at all and the window only opened a fraction. There was no instant coffee left, apparently, anywhere in the hotel. I consider this to be ridiculous, as there are tea & coffee making facilities in all rooms, so this seems like a very basic mistake to make! I had forgotten toothpaste, and despite the promise of complimentary toiletries on display, staff didn't find any. I asked twice. Really disappointing - these aren't complex requests; it's basic supply of goods and basic admin. Not good enough.

the pillows are very thin and not very good. I didn't enjoy the breakfast, maybe because we were near the finish time but not the best

Comfort and cleanliness of room with view overlooking the river.

Breakfast is uninspiring. Location next to major football ground (Fortunately no home match during our visit.) Restaurant closed at weekends. (whole time we were there!)

Large electricity pylons adjacent to the hotel. Next to Leicester City football ground. Air con was not working The breakfast was very sparse, the hot food only consisted of nearly inedible sausages, baked beans and scrambled eggs. Need to get better sausages and add things like bacon, hash browns and mushrooms

Easy to locate and city 15 minutes walk

Clean bathroom. Cheap rates. Good basic breakfast. Sound-proof rooms - didn't hear the fans leaving the stadium just outside our window!

Bed very soft and quite uncomfortable.

Staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs - exceeded expectations. Rooms were extremely clean, and very spacious in comparison to all other 3 star hotels we have been to. Shower facility for those with a disability was fantastic. Loved all the items which were available from reception complimentary, such as toothbrush, toothpaste and shampoo etc. Spacious free car park and location of car park is ideal.

No negatives.

Where it is handy for the stadium

The fact that they leave it to the female staff ( young girls ) to tell football supporters that are not booking in the hotel they cannot drink there They should have a doorman on the door just an idea.

Helpful staff. Reasonable sized rooms and bathrooms. Next to the football stadium or a 10 min walk to pubs/ shops.

Beds too narrow

Could not fault the staff, cleanliness of the hotel, or comfort of the bed.

The incessant noise of a generator, which did'nt make for a good nights sleep. The quality of the breakfast left a lot to be desired.

The staff helped me with where I needed to get to which was great, and the breakfast buffet was nice. Everything was clean and comfortable.

The tv was miles away from the bed.
