All the reasons that we booked the hotel for were not available, nor were we told of any change over of ownership, resulting in even tthe smallest detail breakfast, being being a box of rabbit food. No WiFi and no smoking. Handled very poorly.
It was at the correct address as the hotel is booked
Turn up with no signs to the hotel I had booked. Apparently ceased trading. Nobody had contacted me, no breakfast available.
Booking.com not being helpful to our cause, I booked this hotel back in Oct and as it is half way through transferring to a Premier Inn there was no breakfast, no bar and no Wifi which is what we booked.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful, hotel is spotless and in great location, just two minute walk into the centre. Booking.com did not let me know about the hotel changing hands and after many consultations they told me we would get a room discount at reception when booking in, total lies, Rebecca, the manager knew nothing about this but gave us a generous discount anyway. I would highly recommend anyone staying at this hotel. We had a great time.
Hotel chain had recently changed hands, but no advance notice from either Holiday Inn or Premier Inn, so not aware before arrival. Staff were great, but because of the change there was no Wi-Fi and no breakfast. Room rate at booking had included continental breakfast but the 'breakfast in a box' provided was not really a substitute.
Great staff. All the room basics were fine.
Sadly we werent informed about the hotel changing to a premier inn which caused confusion and extra driving around to find the hotel
The room was very comfy and clean very enjoyable
The hotel had changed hands by the time we arrived. I was not informed else I would have booked elsewhere. Had to pay same rate for less facilities (no bar service or continental breakfast which we paid extra for). No car parking had to pay £30 for 2 cars in a NCP car park nearby.
Everything. No cooked breakfast. I had to sleep on camp bed. And dirty
Room was cold
Pity no proper breakfast - just a box of nibbles.
Good position, pleasant staff, clean.
We were not informed that it had changed from a HI to a PI, no continental breakfast as promised at booking. No bath towels in the bathroom. No information on location of car park.
The carpet was very badly stained. We took photos to prove it. The shower cubicle was disgusting and filthy; we also took a photo of the shower cubicle. We were told in the email sent that we were getting Continental breakfast but instead got Breakfast in a box which was very poor.
The staff were very friendly, polite and apologetic as we were not happy. We spent nearly 2 hours trying to find the building but there was no sign up at the front and therefore we thought it was a block of offices!
Would have liked to know that itwas no longer called the 'Holiday Inn Express' as this would have made it easier to find, and that the buffet breakfast would no longer be available.; a breakfast box was provided instead.
Nice quiet room right in the very busy centre of Nottingham. The quadruple glazing was very effective at keeping the traffic noise out and the room was a good size and well furnished, with a very comfortable bed.
The fact that it had changed hands overnight, with no kitchen area, no bar, no wifi and just a breakfast box offered.
The new staff and their helpfulness in rectifying situations.
We were informed that although I had paid for it, there was no breakfast and no Wifi. I paid for half the stay and my friend paid for the other half all up front. The hotel then went and had my card blocked with my bank with no warning because they thought that it was 'suspicious', even though they were the ones to take the payment and I used the same card for my booking. Very unimpressed with the lack of communication and facilities.
The room was relatively comfortable and a good temperature, although basic.
Tired and tatty rooms and no wifi on second day and no breakfast even though it was in the price
We thought the beds were a bit uncomfortable. We were given a main & sofa bed which the cushions kept coming away from each other. So the sleep wasn't very good. think i'll pick a better room next time
everything thing was there that we needed & staff were very helpful when I needed to print my boarding pass. Clean tidy rooms (but no storage for a family) so fine for the price
Heating made a funny noise. Hotel acquired by Premier Inn the day before so breakfast disappeared as they were transitioning the restaurant area. No bath sheets in bathroom and hand wash and shower gel in a plastic cup. Will probably be fine when the transition is over but not great staying there while it's going on.
Staff very friendly in a difficult situation
The stuff no one care about you there is no contact between you and the stuff I had Avery bad chick in the lady can not smile I ask for some thing she does not unswer!!
There was no drop off parking even though my enquiry to the hotel confirmed that there was. The bedroom heating did not work. We did inform the reception but they were unable to assist as it was late at night.
The convenient location.
Friendly staff, lovely clean hotel, breakfast included. Great rooms.
Hotel looked a little tired and there was nothing left at breakfast
Good location with quick check in/out. The free wifi is a real bonus and the rooms were clean and quiet
Heating in room didnt work properly but it was resolved really quick.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Shower was fantastic.
Hen party came in between 1am and 5am, whistling shouting etc. No sleep till 6am.didn't see one carpet in whole hotel that wasn't badly stained, in room 211 bottom of divan was badly stained too
Breakfast was a bit unorganised, no one taking room names etc. very sparse selection but what was there was great.
Superb location but still quiet enough to sleep at night! Comfy, clean rooms and bathrooms Staff were great and knew local area well
