This modern hotel is in Portsmouth city centre, just 500 metres from Portsmouth and Southsea Rail Station. The Ibis Hotel Portsmouth has a 24-hour snack menu, on-site parking and a stylish restaurant....

The friendly exceptionally helpful reception staff. They were very polite and treated every guest as if they were royalty. Could not find fault with anything. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.

No bacon for breakfast!
Very close to university Free underground secure car parking Friendly staff Good value for money
No bacon at breakfast Dirty, stained carpets in corridors Iron marks in bedroom carpet
Great location Good and modern standard
Proximity to restaurants and visitor attractions
ideal location for Historic Dockyard. Rooms clean and very comfortable. We had a very good nights sleep. Excellent Continental Breakfast. Plenty to eat, Discounted parking in the underground car park was a bonus, Although there is not a restaurant there are many nearby and some offer discounts for Holiday Inn Express customers.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was central to so many things, shops, cinema, sea and plenty of good restaurants.
Nothing to say
Convenience to Gunwharf shopping. Comfortable. Free WFii
The breakfast is very poor standard. Not up to what I expect given the price of a stay
Proximity to Gunwharf Quays shopping and restaurants. 10 minute walk to Historic Dockyard. Comfortable room with view of Spinnaker Tower. Breakfast was excellent
We had no complaints
Comfortable and clean - suited purpose!
Difficult to find. Signs were above normal car driving vision!
location proximity to restaurants, shopping, museum good breakfast
double room too small, no space for luggage, I do not recommend to stay there
Location was very good
It was expensive for what you got breakfast was poor and breakfast area a bit small when people are serving them selves
Shower was not very good,
The location is the only thing this hotel has going for it.
Stayed here with our young baby, they only had one lift operational and that didn't work properly, 15 minutes before it arrived at our floor.
Almost every thing.
Carpets looking a little tired throughout did not reflect the otherwise good standard of rooms and service.
Bad selection of groups of males drunk coming back to rooms at all times of the morning shouting and banging on each other's doors,I will be trying a different hotel next time shame cos this one is well located.
Friendly staff and great breakfast included
extortionate price for quality of experience.
Central location near to the university Comfortable beds
Breakfast a disaster - managed to run out of everything - hot food/bread/cups/plates/cutlery in the 20 minutes we were there. Staff helpful but just not enough of them so tables not cleared. It may be free/included in the price but this is no excuse!
As we visited Portsmouth to experience the Historical dockyard we couldn't have chosen better hotel. We were only 5 minutes walk away, and cafes, restaurants, shops were on our doorstep.
Hard to find entrance to Holiday Inn even with sat nav - and reception on first floor caused bit of confusion! But parking facilities brilliant.
Room was fine...
Food left a bit to be desired
