Location Comfort Staff Food
Fabulous location, great value for money, friendly staff.
Clean and pleasant. Very convenient location for local attractions.
Location very good
Poor beds. Only one working lift for a large hotel . Poor quality breakfast arrangements had a canteen feel . A one night stay would have been enough! Over priced for facilities provided.
Breakfast was excellent. Better than anticipated. We were expecting just a continental breakfast. We were particularly pleased to get such convenient parking, given my partner's limited mobility.
Some bottled water alongside the tea and coffee making facilities would have been good.
Location and room.
Breakfast was poor no bacon but I was told the breakfast was continental but no cold meat poor selection of cheese.
The staff on reception were really helpful and suggested dinner etc the room was good size and comfortable and only 2 mins walk from restaurants and shops.
I was on the 1st floor and it was noisy outside people shouting and laughing going to the club and casino. Will 100% ask for a room on the higher floors next time.
Excellent location , relaxed atmosphere, comfortable beds , easy parking.
A little noisy by other guests in the hallway at night !
Staff poor breakfast awful lifts atrocious
Free parking! Nice room, and excellent staff.
Entrance a bit hard to find when you come out of the car park.
Comfortable, perfect location and staff were friendly.
no bacon at breakfast and a cold shower.
The friendly exceptionally helpful reception staff. They were very polite and treated every guest as if they were royalty. Could not find fault with anything. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.
friendly staff, good breakfast ,cheap car parking. and a very good price, would use this hotel again
Corridor carpets worn, frayed and dirty. Bedroom, where do I start? Room 248. Carpet dirty/stained, iron burn obvious. Matress cover didn't fit, so we saw the brwon stained mattress. Worst hotel mattress I've ever had, we rolled nto the middle, and it gave me backache. Yuck. Walls are pockmarked with what looked like a fight with heels or knuckles, so dreary and sordid. Lighting wasn't adequate, and can't imagine how a business person would be able to use the room for work. Bathroom - toilet roll holder broken, shelf sloping and not fit for purpose. Very, very disapponting. I would not recommend tis hotel to anyone, and have stayed in numerous 'budget' hotels with a high level of care and attention.
Location was excellent
Only one lift working, used the stairs instead.
the area /location /car parking. and the staff in reception
the furniture in the lounge area was very dirty and the fabric on the chairs badly needed refurbishing plus the carpet in our room was in need of a clean.
We used the hotel as a base to visit the Mary Rose and Victory in the naval dockyard. Check in was fast and helpful and when we went up to our room, there was a bottle of Cava and two swans made from towels with their necks in the shape of a heart. A very kind and much appreciated addition to our anniverary weekend. We also asked reception to recommend a restaurant and their choice was also excellent. All together, a very pleasant weekend, and one we hope to repeat.
Please get the second lift fixed !!

No bacon for breakfast!
Excellent location, right in the center of Gunwharf Quays and within walking distance to most of the "sights". Clean and comfortable room with everything needed. Staff welcoming polite and helpfull. Can't make an issue of poor wifi provision as it was free. Would stay again if in the area. JJ
Very close to university Free underground secure car parking Friendly staff Good value for money
No bacon at breakfast Dirty, stained carpets in corridors Iron marks in bedroom carpet
Great location Good and modern standard
Proximity to restaurants and visitor attractions
ideal location for Historic Dockyard. Rooms clean and very comfortable. We had a very good nights sleep. Excellent Continental Breakfast. Plenty to eat, Discounted parking in the underground car park was a bonus, Although there is not a restaurant there are many nearby and some offer discounts for Holiday Inn Express customers.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was central to so many things, shops, cinema, sea and plenty of good restaurants.
