Comfortable, clean. A CAMRA award winning real ale bar next to the hotel. .

It was a bit of a hike between the railway station and the hotel, especially on a wet windy day.

Tired hotel in need of refurbishment. Did not merit 3* rating. Overpriced. Food mediocre. Beds uncomfortable.

Clean room. Good bed. Helpful staff. Superb location overlooking the sea.

Run down 70's 80's decor. They are redecorating bit by bit. Should close a floor at a time. I had to walk down stairs in my suit with walls wet with fresh wallpaper paste! Restaurant is also 1970's, including Prawn Cocktail! Cuisine needs complete rethink. The Expanse's 4 Star rating is hard to justify.

Room was well appointed,clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent and expeditiously served.

The lift is far too cramped for such a busy facility and needs a larger replacement.

Food was excellent.Accommodation excellent but we had a suite which was supposed to be the only room available when we booked but we had our doubts.

Lack of adequate parking but appreciate there were no grounds available for a car park.

Location was very good just next to the beach, the food in the restaurant was of a very high standard and the staff in there were particularly efficient and very friendly! The breakfast was perfect and very relaxing. Lovely listening to the sea when we woke up as it was so close.

The receptionist was very aloof and wasn't always there when we needed our keys back. Our room was clean but for some reason very hot? We paid for a balcony but couldn't use it as a racing pigeon was sat on her nest she had built there and she had eggs! It obviously hadn't been cleaned for a long time, each time we went out she flew off and knew that the babies would die if she left them for any length of time. We could have complained at the time of course but knew that would lead to someone getting rid of the pigeon before her eggs had hatched! I'm hoping that by now they will have flown. Having said all that we'd still probably come back again as this was just unfortunate maybe its the first time this season that this room has been used? Cleaner needs to check balcony.

We wanted to book it from the 22 to 27 of april and the charge would of been 650 for 5 days for a standard room we have booked a hotel with swimming pool sauana including breakfast for 190 for the same period

At £65 per night for a cramped and very unimpressive small single room ,tiny bathroom, shower only, the Expanse is very poor value for money. There are many smaller less pretentious establishments in town which are better value especially in early April

The rooms were well furnished. Bathroom facilities excellent, very well appointed. The sea views were very good from two windows. The restaurant menus had a good choice and the service was efficient and friendly.

The weather was exceptionally bad during our stay, the east wind was blowing continuously, because of this we had to complain about the vent in the bathroom and the draft from the bedroom window. these were both rectified immediately by the hotel staff.

I thought the room was rather small and not very clean.

Sea view. Room was ok and reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The bar attached to the hotel, Marine Bar, offered very good value. Hotel was fine, but tired.

Shower head was damaged. It was changed straight away but it should have been found before-hand. Bedside clock/radio/alarm did not work. Trouser press did not work.

The marine bars staff were excellent, the food was brill.

our room we had was situated at the rear and if we were to stay any longer than a weekend,i would find the room outlook depressing.

Upgraded from a suite to luxury suite due to work on the 1st floor. a quality establishment with excellent food & service. We will definately return when next in Bridlington

tiny lift. small reception area. this got very crowded when booking out as people tend to mingle by the revolving doors.

Very Clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent.

Small lift a bit daunting especailly for one with limited mobility who was unable to take the stairs. Parking could be a problem during high season.
