Holiday Inn Express BathLower Bristol Road, Brougham Hayes, North East Somerset, BA2 3QU Bath (Show map) Very good, Score from 427 reviews“New and very clean. Choose this because it had parking onsite unlike many other Bath hotels and cost of parking was cheaper. It was still very close city centre though (10min walk to the roman baths and abbey)”

Convenient for what we needed though a little far from the city Beds were too small...I Have single beds which are bigger than the double. The room rate is way too expensive given the location and facilities. Breakfast "Zone" was chaos if there were more than about 3 people trying to serve themselves. Grudge paying £5 a day to park in view of the price of the rooms anyway £120+ per night depending of the day of the week

The staff were very helpful, especially the reception staff. We had a problem with our shower, reported the problem at reception and the problem had been rectified by the time we returned to our room in the evening. The room was comfortable and functionable - good value for money, we got exactly what it said on the tin! and it provided a good base for sight-seeing the city. Breakfast was well timed and plentiful. Overall, no complaints! I think if we decide to visit that part of the country again, we'll use the same hotel as our base!

Location is good and having a carpark. A good hearty breakfast to start the day. Breakfast- beans and scrabbled eggs were luke warm. Some croissants were hard. Charging customers for carparking.

I would like to thank the Holiday Inn Express Bath, Manager and staff for an excellent 3 night stay in the Hotel. We were very impressed with the brand new 32" tv and I understand new beds are coming in 2012. Bath is a lovely place and the Holiday Inn did everything to make our stay more than comfortable, coping very well with a very busy hotel, which could be seen my the number of cars in the hotel car park at night and queue for breakfast on Friday morning (2nd December 2011) which moved quickly. Staff even apologised for the wait (is this really England!) which we appreciated. Well done Holiday Inn Express Bath, we would gladly stop with you again. The hotel offers free internet Wi-Fi access in the Reception area. This aparently lasts for up to six hours usage in a 24 hour period. I turned on at 9am to look up some shops and sights in Bath, for no more that 30 minutes, but could not log on at 6pm that evening (without paying extra) as it was past the 6 hours of free access!!!! 6 hours free use is great in a 24 hour period, but perhaps clients would rather do this in bits rather than in one 6 hour session. This would be far more acceptable please and less likely to cause customer disappointment with a so called 'free service'.

Parking facilities restricted - had to park in non-designated parking place, although it says in literature not necessary to book. Bed not very well made I.E. bottom sheet not straightened, duvet just pulled over and glass of water left on bedside table. Not what one would expect from a hotel charging over £100 a night.

Very friendly staff, clean hotel and located 5 minutes walk from the city centre. The bed was very uncomfortable for us - ok if you usually sleep on a soft bed! The aircon was set for warmth only and the window opened a fraction - so if you like a cool ventilated room, be warned! The hotel was quite expensive for what it offered, so begrudged paying additional parking fees each day.

The receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly. We could hear the people in the room next door talking and the noise of the hairdryers when switched on, so rooms are not sound proof.

Very handy for town centre. Good parking facilities. Good breakfast - set us up for the day. If I returned to Bath this is a good base and I would probably try and book this hotel again Convenient for centre. Staff helpfull - we arrived early and it wasn't a problem. Only £4.50 overnight for parking until 4pm next day

Approx 10min walk to City Centre. Breakfast was very nice with three hot dishes although it was advertised as Continental and plenty of everything to start the day. Didn't like paying for Parking this should be free or included in the accomodation price + it wasn't mentioned in details prior to booking but was included in confirmation after booking + accomodation price was Net vat also not stated when Booking . Also didn't have a mirror over the dressing table although there was a full length mirror in the room but it was the other end of the room on the opposite side.

Convinient location to attractions in the city. Good value for money. Nice rooms and bathrooms. There were a large que at breakfast. Took for ever to get food and eat. Could have been avoided with a bit better floor plan (organisation of food and people) Hope the hotel do something about it.

The hotel was relatively convenient to Bath Town so this was quite good. The room was clean and tidy. There were a number of things that I did not like. In the first instance there was no pay per view although this was advertised on the web site. In addition the breakfast was poor and the quality of the food was awful. The parking carried a charge and whilst this was made clear prior to booking it seemed tight to say the least when considering the basic amenities and the cost of these. A power shower would be nice.

the room was fine very clean , good bed, hotel close enough to the city centre, just a few minutes walk away, breakfast was awful, for the money we paid it was truly dreadful coffee like mud, self service which would be ok, but the food was cold, the plates to put the food on very cold, no eggs, i know it was continental, but why put on sausage and beans which were cold any way, very disappointed, in all spoiled the start to the day

The breakfast buffet was very badly organised (the worst I have ever seen), so that everyone lined up to get all of their breakfast at once. I think this was due to the layout and narrowness between the aisle. It's hard to explain you have to go and have a look, but essentially people see a queue because of the layout and so join it. Complete waste of my time, meant I had a long queue, and my breakfast was cold.

Reception staff extremely polite and helpful. Hotel was modern, clean, well located and had plenty of parking. Nice bedroom with all the facilities you would expect. Restaurant seemed to be understaffed at breakfast so when the coffee machine needed some attention there were not enough staff to deal with everything so they got a little "short" with people asking questions.

The choice of Hard or soft pillows and the cleanliness of the bathrooms that are so clean you could almost eat off the floor! The fact that the breakfast is always included within the price, especially when you manage to get a good price for your room. Its location that isn't really in town, it's ten minutes walking distance. The price that was very high for one night's stay.

Comfortable, clean hotel in an excellent location on the edge of the city centre. Easy fifteen minute walk to the centre. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Also has a car park which is a bonus for central Bath - £4.50 per night at the time of writing and you are permitted to leave your car in the car park until 4pm on the day of departure. Be aware that parking does not appear to be monitored - the hotel has 126 rooms and 60-odd parking spaces. We arrived on Friday when there were plenty of spaces but by the time we left on Sunday morning the car park was jam-packed and people had parked everywhere, not just in the marked bays. Consequently, several cars were blocked in completely and many others would have had extreme difficulty in getting out. The hotel needs to address this issue.
