Holiday Inn Express Cheltenham Town Centre  

reception staff were very friendly and helpful ,breakfast sat morning was really nice ,good location for everywhere i needed to go ,clean rooms

room was cold when we arrived heater above the door didnt really do much to heat the room had to leave it running all night ,was a bit noisy the breakfast sunday was awful ,sausages were not cooked properly ,scrambled egg was not nice and the beans were cold ,ended up havin to pieces of toast instead

The rooms were very clean and modern. Staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Breakfast choices were very good The staff arranged our taxi for us- fantastic service!

Not having its own parking Having to pay £9.50 for parking in a public car park- can the hotel have an arrangement with the car park to get reduced parking for visitors? No mirror on the desk and the mirror by the door was not lit. A lot of guests which we saw whilst waiting for our taxi were going out or going to birthday parties so I think a lot of people use this facility when staying for nights out- a lit mirror by the desk would be very useful.

Normally stay at another hotel when in Cheltenham but as 2 of us were travelling I was attempting to keep costs down. However, read the small print for this hotel. There is no parking so the local ncp has to used (£9.50/day), the internet is extra (I was charged £15 one night and £7 the next) so it all adds upto the price I would normally pay anyway. Personally I wouldn't stay here again, or any other Holiday Inn, never really had a great experience with them on the occasions that I have stopped.

Upon checking in the staff were more than helpful, polite and very friendly. The location was superb.. And the fact we could use 'Fitness First facilities just opposite the Hotel was excellent.. The breakfast was excellent too and a vast choice to choose from. We would definatley be back again and recommend the Hotel to family and friends..

Location excellent for shopping,pubs and restaurants,nice atmosphere in bar area for couples and families,good room facilities and excellent complimentary breakfast-all in all great place to stay couldnt fault it(apart from high bar prices)

Very clean, staff efficient and a super crisp clean cot ready for our small baby who slept all night!

More toasters required at breakfast, the qeues for some members of our family were crazy, all caused by alot of people trying to use one toaster!!

Location is good

Bed uncomfortable. Breakfast very, very poor. Disgusting inedible scrambled egg, hard baked beans, coffee didn't even taste like coffee, dry old sliced bread, greasy pastries. Really horrible experience, didn't eat anything.............

Cleanliness

Noisy and on arrival asked for £20 deposit a day for bar bills

Nice spacious and welcoming entrance and bar. Very friendly and welcoming receptionist. Free map of town was very useful. Free newspaper and breakfast news on tv in breakfast room was appreciated. Good location - just what we looking for.

Bed - very cheap and unstable, and small. Mattress - too soft. Staff had no idea where there was a decent pub. Breakfast - cheap ingrediants made it very disappointing. Over priced.

Friendly staff nice clean room.

The price is right and I very much appreciate being able to use the gym. The location also is quite nice.

A bit noisy, but not sure how you could get around that. I think that is the nature of the area.

The location of the reception, I found this too close to the bar and the music from the bar was so loud it made it difficult to hear what the receptionist was saying when we were booking in.
