Wifi at the lobby was not stable.
clean and warm
breakfast horrible. not everyone likes sausage and beans. boiled eggs would help. orange juice is cheap, however they serve sugar laden orange it was foul.
The staff were all very friendly and the problem we had with the air con was handled with proffesionalism and sympathy
The noise coming from the air con every ten minutes with a ticking noise
Friendly, warm and very helpful.
Better directions from Waverly Station would help.
The hotel was well situated for getting to the City Centre , railway station and bus station and all the pubs and restaurants in the old town.
The directions for finding the hotel could have been a bit more clearer as Cowgate is a long street.
Great, polite and friendly staff. Unfussy breakfast, but more than enough choice considering what we paid, staff on hand for any queries. Lovely scrambled egg, not runny and not overdone, perfect. Toasting machines than toast, not as common as you would expect in hotels. Great location, just off Royal Mile. Room clean and comfortable. Lovely soap and shower gel. Room available when we arrived at 11:30am Room available to leave luggage
Would have been nice to see a change in hot buffet daily, not a major issue for 2 night stay, but it would have become boring if stay was longer.
Comfort , Staff and location
Staff were extremely helpful and polite.
Elevator was a but annoying having to us your room key
Everything about the holiday inn was great ....
parking an issue
Staff were extremely polite Secure luggage area
Wifi was a little 'patchy'
The reception staff were welcoming, very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the bed was wonderful. I rarely sleep well away from home so I was very pleasantly surprised.
The location was slightly off the beaten track for the places we wanted/needed to go. We ended up getting a lot of taxis because the weather was atrocious & not good days for walking.
Perfect location relatively to town access, very polite and helpful staff, confortable and clean room, uninterruptable and high speed wifi access.
Location Friendly staff distance to town
Location was great, all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The buffet breakfast was a bit manic, but a good selection.
Hospitality. Good food and beer. Visiting various tourist attractions. Bus tour and the European Christmas Market.
Staff were very helpful.
Wifi did not seem to be very rapid.
Excellent staff, location, facilities and value. Does what it says on the tin
Good overnight rates, parking nearby, 25% discount on parking charges, breakfast was a tasty bonus.
Nothing_ everything was as it said on the tin!!
I find the hotel very quite. Which makes the stay more enjoyable
I like the fact that you have clean towels every day.
Being central; very helpful staff; neat, tidy and clean amenities; low level of noise.
Breakfast was basic; parking ( down the road in another building) a nuisance, but passable for a big city.
Location. Very couruous and helpful Staff. Discount car parking. Free wi-fi availability
Very Limited TV Channels. Disappointed and surprised at the very limited terrestial TV channels 5/6 available for such a well branded city centre Hotel. Expected a more extensive range from the Holiday Inn Company. Only fly in the ointment.
The staff at the front desk were very helpful
The maids vacuumed the halls at 8:30am on a Sunday - perhaps not the best time. The room was small.
the central location of the hotel made the weekend break that much better due to all the hills and walking around Edinburgh we done
whether could have been warmer
