No car parking

We had a weekend break with friends firstly the bed was so uncomfortable for us and our friends that we had a rough nights sleep which made the following day awful as we were so tired we had to return home earlier than expected due to tiredness. Secondly the air vent in the bathroom didn't work so mirrors steamed up and was uncomfortable the hair dryer didn't work which was annoying as u don't wish to take your own as you expect these things to work. In the past we have stayed at travel lodge where you even get a shower hat and the beds are comfortable and wverything works we did the reception about the bathroom air vent she didn't write any thing down then our friends told us there's didn't work either come on sort out your rooms I know it's just a bed to put your head down for the night but at least make it comfortable not with springs digging in your hip all night and rolling into the middle of the bed. Very unsatified customer.

Everything was what we wanted

We came to Stevenage for our grandaughters 18th birthday and had arranged to go to the Hollywood Bowling. The holiday inn express was the perfect location. We had a really good time, and the good breakfast in the morning was the icing on the cake. Thank-you.

Stunk of smoke. People standing at the doorway smoking on arrival and smoking rooms when booking says strictly no smoking. Also bed was like a water bed and so soft spent most of the night rolling into the middle. Poor nights sleep.

Central location with free parking. Close to shops and train station. Free hot breakfast.

Wish the drinks machine sold water and not just juice and pop!

Booked two days in advance, booking accepted, when I arrived, only smoking rooms available ( I did not know that such a thing still existed) I was unhappy about this, but told that was all there was. I looked at the room, which was clean but stank. No other choice but to have it for the one night stay. Lost most of the nights sleep due to stale smoke stench and woke with a sore throat. Thank you Holiday Inn Express. I am a Government inspector and will certainly be informing my colleagues of my experience and advising them to give you a VERY wide berth. Your staff made the comment that they had to supply these rooms and that the policy was changing, they remarked that they were more trouble than they were worth. I agree, bad planning you guys!
