We liked the location and the price. Great value for money. Lovely breakfast. Room was spotless We had only 1 complaint and that was the noise from the street. Our room was at the front of the hotel and was kept awake till 3.30am by people leaving pubs, shouting, taxis so on. Better glazing might solve that problem.

I stayed two nights and had a very poor sleep both nights due to the noise from seagulls screaching throughout the whole night. The double glazing is of very poor quality and does not prevent the noise. I had to open the window for cool air as the rooms do not have air conditioning, which might have helped dull the noise. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The central location Rooms still had heaters on- far too hot, when I wanted to open the window during the night I heard pub noises, shouting, taxis etc. Reccomend getting air con. Also the parking was really bad, a hand full of spaces to accommodate the guests. I spent £20 on parking in one night. This made myself and my partner very stressed because we were constantly watching the time to go and change the ticket. I am very disappointed with this and wont be back to the holiday inn express city centre and won't be back.

Ideal location, warm, very clean, comfortable beds. Breakfast provided everything we needed. Great value for money. Only down side was noisy outside hotel during the night due to close proximity of pubs/clubs but would definitely visit again,

Great location - just 10 seconds to great shops on Union Street. Howies is across the road which is a nice restaurant to grab a proper Scottish dinner. Would definitely recommend it if you want somewhere reasonable and centrally located. Parking is limited - there are about 10 spaces so be early unless you want to pay extortionate prices at the Chapel street car park.

The room was very comfortable and the hotel staff were very accommodating. The hotel location is very good for the centre of town. The only thing that was a slight problem was the parking facilities. The hotel car park is very small.

Conveniently central for all Aberdeen ameneties, clean and hospitable. Slight problem with washhand basin in room 202; water pressure forces water to splash over onto floor, tap does not control. Since this is a room converted for wheelchair access, a disabled person would find this fault more of a problem than it was for me.

As mentioned above, the staff, location, comfort, price were all excellent. Exactly what I was looking for, and I will definitely use this hotel again and recommend to my friends/work colleagues. Just remembered one gripe actually. There was very (12spaces approx with several for disabled) limited free parking for guests. There was a far larger area that was chained off for staff. This is of course fair enough, but both days I had a look in, and there was plenty of spaces that were free! I ended up having to pay £10 to stay in a nearby multi story, but luckily got one space in the hotel parking for the 2nd night. Therefore, my room actually cost £10 more. To be honest, this would probably make me think twice about using this hotel again, as £10 per night, on top of the room rate is a bit much. Maybe a re-think about the guest/staff parking plan would be a good idea. All that aside, I cant fault the staff, location, room quality etc
