The location was very close to the Filton Abbey Wood train station, negating a need to park in the city centre at all. The cooked breakfast offering looked like it had been sat there for a while & not necessarily that fresh, so I did not use that at all.

Room and bathroom well laid out- convenient & ample storage. Enough shelf space in bathroom, lacking in many hotels. At night accesss route to entrance not obvious- a well lit sign would be useful.

Bed was very comfortable - (I have a bad back and usually have difficulty sleeping in hotel beds). Room was clean and well serviced. Good selection of food for self serve breakfast. Only downside was that there were noisy guests. No complaints about the hotel itself.

Economic, basic - but adequate as we were going to a wedding near by and were only requiring bed and breakfast. Location - very difficult to access sat nav not easiest option. Could do with better instructions to location.

This is our 5th or 6th yearly stay. We come up for the weekend to do Christmas shopping. Myself, my sister, my teenager daughter and niece. We can all stay in one room so this represents excellent value for money especially with breakfast included. The hotel and facilities are always fresh and clean. Nothing is shabby or disappointing. Staff are always friendly and helpful. We will definitely use this specific hotel and this chain in other areas again. The whole experience by far exceeds that of many other big named hotel chains. Maybe the beds could be a little more comfortable and the air conditioning units are a bit noisy and not particularly user friendly. However, this is just a little constructive criticism and would by no means deter me from staying here again.

After my initial booking I contacted the hotel to ensure a twin room would be available as I was staying with my daughter. The manager told me "yes" and we would be on a higher floor as that tended to be a bit more quieter. Alas a few of the rooms on our floor were taken up by youngsters having a night out in Bristol. There was a fair bit of noise & music prior to them going out and from 4am on wards when they started to arrive back. Despite a no smoking policy, when we awoke Sunday morning there was a strong smell of smoke that somehow we could smell in our room and was very prevalent in the corridors on the way down to breakfast.

Location, near to our convention site. Close to other amenities. Staff helpful when checking in and changing our room from a double to a twin room. Other guests in hotel were very noisy during the middle of the night.

Unfortunately the air con units were just outside room 50 and after the timer clicked in on Sunday morning the pipes just kept on creaking. Apart from that everything was ok.

Excellent friendly service, superb continental breakfast, free newspaper, close proximity to good pub for food, etc. It was a little difficult to gain access travelling from the m32. No distinct direction signs at the roundabout.

The locality was perfect for a weekend of shopping, very close and eay to get to all the main shopping area's I.E. Cabot's Circus, Ikea, Cribs Causeway etc. The breakfast was fantastic, easy to use and navigate, plenty of tables, helpfull friendly staff. We all really enjoyed our stay and would visit again and recommend to others. We did wonder why you had two Holidays Inn's so close to each other, as we went to the other one first. And you could see it from the main road but the entrance wasn't sign posted very well, the first sign post we saw was when we turned into the road that led to the car park.

Terrible breakfast experience.... Poor facilities for the amount of guests having breakfast. It was like a battle to get to the toast machines. Very basic food. No fresh fruit left although I dined before 9am., Not regularly replenished.

Rooms where well appointed and clean. Bathroom area was well laid out. No light over main mirror in bedroom. Limited number of channels on the tv and the film service and menu where not working. The breakfast facilities where good but we had to wait a long time for plates and cutlery which had run out. Also there was no visibility for the staff between the kitchen and the self serve area so they did not see when food was running out. Also there was no hatch between the kitchen and the back of the hot food cabinets so staff had to carry hot steel containers through the dining area past waiting customers to get to the serving area, a potential Health and Safety issue especially if small children are about.
