Badly sign posted from airport
Location .. No noise... Good breakfast!!! Enjoyable stay!!;-)
No biscuits with tea making.
everything apart from sofa bed
very uncomfy bed settee
every member of staff was very friendly and helpful
Close to Cardiff Airport
car parking in the dirt as far away from the hotel as possible, if you don't pre-book your transfer to the airport be prepared to miss your flight or get yourself a taxi, booking of two rooms for 4 adults was confused as one room with one bed and a bit of mattress on the floor, credit card was debited twice without billing me at checkout, transfer by minibus to and from the terminal was vastly over-subscibed with people sitting on the floor of the van when picked up at arrivals. Breakfast poor quality produce. Shabby service overall.
Everything very comfortable and we had a shuttle to airport excellent
No bacon at breakfast I think we should have a choice
A nice hotel . the female receptionist was excellent. I was trying to get to Swansea and she went out of her way to give me some information regarding trains and buses. GREAT CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST AT 4.30AM
The night receptionist was poor. I asked for a 4am alarm call and I didnt receive it Other than that it was a nice hotel.
Breakfast had plenty of choice
WiFi in rooms very poor, it should just be standard now, not charging for faster broadband. as WiFi is a very common thing now.
I now use hol Inn express regularly as they are always good value, good staff and the soft pillows are perfect!
I found the holiday inn excellent value for money. I stayed 2 nights. The hotel was very clean and staff were so friendly. It wasnt the ritz but i didnt pay for the ritz. Totally recommend.
The whole time at the Hotel was first class and I would visit again. Value for money and food great. Rebecca Haverfordwest.
The room was rather chilly during evening and would of liked some form of heating.
Proximity to airport.
Staff would not (almost refused) to provide information on local eateries, restaurants, etc. Probably because they were told to have people eat at the hotel restaurant. Many excellent local pubs (Blue Anchor notably) provide far better local dining choices with much better settings. Beds were very hard with warn-out mattresses. Sparse towels and that cheap soap-in-a-bottle deal mounted to wall. Stay if you have to, look elsewhere if you can.
close to the airport
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and modern, I thought it was quite new from its appearance but it has been open for 10 years! Had dinner which we thought was reasonably priced and very good, and the breakfast which was included was very good. The free wifi was also very good, especially in the room which was great. Lovely clean room, modern and spotless bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities and good TV program choices.
The only downside was the bed - you could feel the springs through the mattress which made it very uncomfortable and also the bed is not fixed to the headboard so the bed slipped away from the wall if you lent against it.
A very professional and warm welcome on arrival, The allocation of the room and also check out were efficient
Handy for airport book in any time
Relaxing night away & the location was ideal for peace & quiet!! Breakfast was spot on.
Generally the hotel was well run staff friendly, breakfast continental style with fair choice. Coffee OK. Great for airport.
Bed was a bit soft. Also we picked up a parking ticket because we didn't realise you had to put in your car number plate into a computer at reception. This is being sorted but I' m a bit nervous about it until I get the cancellation letter.
The pillows were like paper.
The Staff all seemed so pleasant especially at the unsociable jour than my party and I arrived. The helped make the experience very welcoming
Room good size wet room good but tray had lots of hairs in overspill drain let reception know in morning little disappointed rest of room great good night sleep on first night second few more people stayed don't know how to consider others to many doors closed loudly not great night sleep
Little to do at night and few facilities nearby after staying at Swansea holiday inn this very disappointed not worth the money don't think will book here again
The accommodation was very good and the room was very clean.
Return transport from Airport to Holiday Inn was very poor , had to wait 45mins. not 20mins. as promised by Holiday Inn.
Clean, fab beds, lovely layout inside entrance Relaxed atmosphere. Bar staff lovely.
Reception clerk miserable. He said he was stressed because of a large party of chinese.
We liked the fact that we were picked up from the airport.
The fact that we were not told that we had to phone to be picked up. We were under the impression our flight would be met as we had given our arrival time. Our room was booked for the 17th September. I specifically booked a smoking room . When we went to check in, we found that our room was not available , because despite me informing Booking .com that although we wouldn't be arriving until about 2 am on the 18th we needed the room from the 17th. We were booked in from 2pm on the 18th! So bang went the smoking room for my husband.Eventually after about 20 minutes of waiting for a room we told we couldn't have a room key!!!!!!!!!!! We had to be taken to our room and the person who took us left a card in the slot, but we couldn't use it to get back into our room should we have wanted to go downstairs for something. There were 2 staff on duty and it took them more than 20 minutes to sort out a room for us. This is unacceptable. The following morning we went down for breakfast, not very impressed btw with the breakfast choice, told the young lady behind the desk we didn't have a room key and she just gave us one.! Why couldn't that have been done earlier.??? At that time of morning, all we wanted to do was get to our room have a cup of tea after a 5 hour flight and get some sleep. There was only 2 sachets of sugar in the bowl in the room, luckily only I use sugar or we wouldn't have even have been able to have a cuo of tea.! I understand the mix up wasn't all due to Holiday Inn, but it wasn't handled very well. So all in all, we didn't have a very good experience. We have stayed in Holiday Inns before in a few places and Cardiff has been the worst one we have stayed in!
