The room size was good and the staff friendly. There was a wide variety of breakfast and the cleanliness was spot on
we were waken at 5am by the guest next door alarm then rather than switching it off it repeated itself. The second night we were again wakened by loud hammering on door next to us until the guest got up and let them in
We have stayed at this hotel many times before. It has an excellent location just off the motorway heading North. The staff are very friendly and pleasant. Will definitely use again on our trips up North as a halfway point
A very nice breakfast pleasant staff
The apples at breakfast and the shower was decent.
I would have slept better in a hammock on the titanic. The bed was horrendous
The Dunfermline hotel was clean and quite acceptable. The staff were friendly and willing to help in any way.
For the first time after many stays at Holiday Inns, we were disturbed by banging doors and loud talking during the early hours of the morning. It was apparent that there were a couple of groups of young women and men staying overnight. At approx 03:45 we were awoken by knocking on our door by a young woman asking for 'Jack'. She was quite apologetic for waking us up unnecessarily but the damage was done and we found it hard to get back off to sleep. We did not report the matter to reception as nothing could be done by them.
Very clean, great for a stopover.
The cooked breakfast very poor
Friendliness of the staff.
Our room was very small.225 Breakfast was DIY toast, machine hot drinks(make your own tea in a mug), clear your own table. Hot food choice of baked beans, sausage and scrambled egg speaks volumes. For £126.00 we expected more. ,
My Partner and I where visiting Edinburgh and found it a good base to do this a short walk to the Train Station and Six Pound return into the center of Edinburgh MY Partner comes from St Helens and wanted to see Edinburgh and we found this very easy from the Holiday inn as they warned us about the parking charges in Edinburgh.
Dunfermline it self we could not find a good place to eat
Location, comfort, helpful & friendly staff.
Soft bed and False milk…!
Staff were friendly the room was very clean and the breakfast in the morning was very nice. Great prices as well!
Clean very friendly staff
The room was comfortable and very quiet we overslept a bit
Not enough sockets for plugs
Excellent Hotel very helpful and friendly staff lovely meals and lovely rooms . Very relaxing ,home from home
Staff were more than happy to help with requests, quick check in, quick check out, basic Pizza for dinner was terrific, room was very clean and well set up. Great stay at good price for a Sunday night.
Not the hotels fault but a group of teenagers staying were a bit noisey banging doors after 11pm so sleep was a little average for the first 1-2 hours.
Very comfortable bed
Breakfast was disappointing
Conmfort, good location for business, simple but good food on the premisises.
WiFi needs better service level agreements as it took too long to fix and poor comunication to hotel staff so they could not tell guest much. Will check before ever booking there again
Comfy bed, good sound insultation, easy to get to
Breakfast - no bacon but sausages? No restaurant
Limited facilities Terrible cooked breakfast
We stated we were vegetarian and staff got us lovely veggie sausages which I though was very thoughtful.Staff were friendly and I wanted to come back. I even priced my next visit. This visit 9thAugust 2nights, next visit 6thSeptember.;)
When I enquired about coming back in September to visit my very ill sister I was told it was going to be £58.00 per room but when I went to book it with Stewart he said the price had went up in just 2 days and was looking more money :(
Easy to get to and easy for visiting edinburgh
Everything was great. The staff we the best I have come across
Soft beds, poor breakfast (cheap sausages, nasty scrambled egg), slow service on check in and at bar.
The toilet would not flush and I could not get access to my room, was let in with a key by a member of staff but was not given a key card so the lights etc would not work. I got ready in the dark for my night out.
Very disappointed booked double bed and sofa room got 2 singles when complained told first come get it nowhere in booking does it say this very disappointed
