I had a migraine for 5days upon my arrival to Holiday Inn express. The staff was wonderful to me and my husband during my pain. They even helped him phone for the GP to come in and assist with my needs. Thanks Holiday Inn Staff for all your help. My migrain started going away the next day and I'm greatful for their help.

It was convenient and well located for what we required. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The only downside was that it was a very cold weekend and because the hotel is eco friendly the electric heater in the room was switched off when we removed the keycard which meant the room got cold quickly and was very cold when we returned to the room

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely and clean The WiFi Internet connection was very poor, it was nearly impossible to make connection, from the room it wasn't possible at all. Breakfast was very poor, the bread was stale, the scrambled eggs and sausages, were very dry. (Old)

As a first visit to a Holiday Inn Express this was excellent, we had judged the hotel on price and were expecting a fairly basic hotel but this was not the case and the accommodation was excellent, the staff friendly and the rooms were spotless. Our only quibble ,and it's fairly minor, was that the scrambled eggs were almost cold each morning at breakfast,as we were only expecting a continental breakfast it wasn't a huge problem.

I booked this hotel on 5/11/11, to stay in on 3/12/11 exactly 1 month before. I had booked standard double room. To my surprise when I reached there I was given standard twin room. I called receptionist and she just bluntly said my booking is not for standard double its which ever room available!!!!!!!!!! Is this what you get to book your stay in well advance??? She just said hotel is full and can't give us another room. I was astounded with unhelpfulness of hotel staff. I have stayed in many different hotel but I have never come across such a unhelpful staff.

Very friendly staff, good location to vist Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling etc. Good and safe parking space, free internet in room and good breakfast although continental. Recommended if travelling by car and also Azda supermarket opposite hotel open 24 hours helps a lot. Clean and comfortable rooms, keep it up! A small suggestion, is it possible that breakfast varies from day to day?

Staff were very friendly and chatty. Room was quite basic, but clean and tidy and the shower was good so just what me and my friends were after. Breakfast wasn't great but wasn't expecting one so was a bit of a bonus. Could do with a bit ore choice on the cooked items.

The hotel was great for the price bracket that it falls into. Rooms were very clean and more than comfortable for a short stay. Plenty of choice at breakfast and the restaurant and bar areas were very comforatble. The restaurant wasnt open over weekends. The bar was quite pricey.

The hotel is clean and friendly. Staff are welcoming, lovely and helpful. The bar area was also very nice to sit and relax with a drink while waiting for our taxi! The lift was broken during the whole stay which is really unacceptable. There were 2 disabled people in our party although this would not have been obvious. We were told that the hotel was full and so we struggled to manage up and down the stairs. Also I booked what I thought was a double room online but apparently this was just a standard room and a double bed has to be specially requested!

The breakfast was continental but realy nice. Upon arrival at 1530 hrs the room had been cleaned however there were salted peanuts by the bed (hard to miss) and the rooms previous occupant had obviously been smoking in the room. I realise this was not the hotels fault but as a non-smoker the stench was horrible. The manager came to the room with an air freshener and said he had suspected the occupant had been smoking. If that was the case why had the room not been cleaned better and the windows opened and to be honest, why put people in there when the hotel was very quite and we could easily have been put into a different room.

The location of the hotel is very good with an excellent Harvester restaurant very close by and there is also a shopping centre across the road with a large Asda store. The breakfast was good there were eggs and sausages available included in the continental breakfast. Although the hotel is situated on a main road the room we had was very quiet looking onto the large car park. Apart from the breakfast no food is available over the weekend.
