Holiday Inn Express Birmingham Oldbury M5, Jct.2  

We were going to a party in Oldbury on New Years Eve and were debating paying for a taxi which was forty pounds back home three miles away! Friend suggested Holliday Inn Express.We thought it would be expensive 75 pounds at least.But found a room for £52.00 pounds including breakfast,Other than having difficulty getting in to the room and having to return to reception three times (Problem with key) the room was excellent.Very clean,lovely shower,comfy bed and excellent breakfast will definately use again and will encourage family who regularly travel over from Ireland for weekends.(Usually use Travel Lodge)

Room was clean and pleasant but small

I didn't like it. Checking was delayed. Menu was restricted to high calorie stodge Breakfast was poor with food stored in their own fat Check out was delayed Advice on good place to eat locally was virtually non existent. Wifi was 4.95

Had never heard of this particular 'Chain' until told of its location i.e. virtually next door to the Pint and Two Halves (where I was hosting a family get together on Sunday 4th March 2012. Both my husband and I were very impressed by the standards throughout this particular HIE, wouldn't hesitate to recommend and stay there again ourselves and, indeed, look forward to using other HIEs when necedssary. We have joined the Priority Club. All the staff with whom we had contact were friendly, extremely helpful, courteous, caring and without exception went 'that extra mile' to help as my husband is, at present, having problems with mobility.

i have used holiday inn/hotels for quite some time during my and family holidays in the uk and overseas, we have always prefered it as we feel at home from home. the down side of the recent one in j2, was the juice at break fast ' did not meet the standard of other places that we have visited. my children found it undrinkable, too watery so did we, though we expressed our concern, it was still the same the following morning' we assumed that is probable due to the present economic climate. i would suggest perhaps, they should have 300ml/500ml of carton children juice along other condiments at breakfast time. besides that we really enjoyed our stay, if only it did not snow.

Excellent value for money.

I Felt the rooms could do with a little re-vamp. Smelt musty.

Really handy for overnight stay, minutes from motorway Staff were locals, unusual these days

Unfussy efficient staff. Quiet room even with busy surrounding roads Excellent breakfast choice. Clean warm bedroom and bathroom. Nearness to Birmingham, Black Country and local sports venues

Excellent location. very good staff. Excellent room, bedding ect. Best Pillow i ever had in hotel room. very good breakfast. I cannot fault in any area. UInfact infuture wnen travelling to scotland we will be staying at this hotel. Staff was excellent. Very good service --simply excellent. Thanks

Location close to but not in Birmingham. Ease of parking on site.

Great location by the m5 and free wifi was greatly appreciated
