We were going to a party in Oldbury on New Years Eve and were debating paying for a taxi which was forty pounds back home three miles away! Friend suggested Holliday Inn Express. We thought it would be expensive 75 pounds at least. But found a room for £52.00 pounds including breakfast,Other than having difficulty getting in to the room and having to return to reception three times (Problem with key) the room was excellent.Very clean, lovely shower, comfy bed and excellent breakfast will definately use again and will encourage family who regularly travel over from Ireland for weekends.(Usually use Travel Lodge)

Very good value hotel, good location with pub next door serving a very varied menu. Rooms look newly refurbished and very clean. Breakfast has lots of options and all very fresh. Drinks are very expensive, bottled cider is £5 per bottle!! Makes it very expensive to drink in the bar but while the pub next door serves good food it is also full of children and very busy so we prefered the tranquility of the hotel bar

Cost and location I selected fair for staff has I did not have much communication or contact with the staff apart from picking up the key on arrival. Clarity is required. I was undre the understanding that my card detailss was only to hold the room and payment would not be made on arrival.

We chose this hotel for it's location as we were a group of friends from different areas of the country meeting up. Some of us travelled by car and others by train which made this hotel ideal. The staff were fantastic, friendly, informative, nothing to much trouble. Rooms were very comfortable.

The hotel is well located for Birmingham, Dudley and Wolverhampton. It is just off the m5 and meant we were able to get to the Alexandria Stadium in around 15 minutes The hotel is modern and clean and breakfast is included in the price. Breakfast time was very busy and it was difficult for staff to keep the buffet breakfast replenished.

Hotel is in very good location and has free parking right next to the M5 Junction 2. Staff on the front desk were excellent. We phoned a few days earlier and requested 2 travel cots which were already in the room when we got to it which was very good. We then asked them to remove the cots as our kids were too small for them and they didn this without hassle and opened up the sofa bed for us. Only got 1 room card but asked for another and was given it which was good. Room had sky news but could've done with more kiddies channels. KFC and McDonalds are a 5 min walk away as is Toys R Us. Room didnt have a bath only a shower which wasnt good as needed to bathe the kids. Dont know if it was listed as having a shower only when i booked-may have been an oversight by me. Could have done with better lighting in the room and definitely more sockets. There must have been 2 in the whole room which isnt enough. The hot breakfast variety was poor. They had 4 cereals, croissants, tea, sausages and scrambled egg. As dad was a vegi he could only have tea and toast as hot food. Should have had something like beans, hash brown etc.

“On arrival the receptionist was very friendly. Even though I had my booking.com reference paperwork she said not to worry has she had a the details. As we were going to our rooms we encountered other staff they very friendly. The bed was amazing, didn't want to get out of the shower and the whole room was tastefully decorated. I had room service which was delivered promptly and what I ordered was very good. The next evening we dined in the restaurant and again the food was of very high standard. This was the first time I stayed at the Ramada and was very impressed. I met some other friends in the morning who were having breakfast and they were singing the praises of the hotel. Definitely stay again.” Karen, Slough |
