We were going to a party in Oldbury on New Years Eve and were debating paying for a taxi which was forty pounds back home three miles away! Friend suggested Holliday Inn Express. We thought it would be expensive 75 pounds at least. But found a room for £52.00 pounds including breakfast,Other than having difficulty getting in to the room and having to return to reception three times (Problem with key) the room was excellent.Very clean, lovely shower, comfy bed and excellent breakfast will definately use again and will encourage family who regularly travel over from Ireland for weekends.(Usually use Travel Lodge)

i have used holiday inn/hotels for quite some time during my and family holidays in the uk and overseas, we have always prefered it as we feel at home from home. the down side of the recent one in j2, was the juice at break fast ' did not meet the standard of other places that we have visited. my children found it undrinkable, too watery so did we, though we expressed our concern, it was still the same the following morning' we assumed that is probable due to the present economic climate. i would suggest perhaps, they should have 300ml/500ml of carton children juice along other condiments at breakfast time. besides that we really enjoyed our stay, if only it did not snow.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful, nice rooms and a decent breakfast thrown in, the bar area was great to relax in whilst watching the big screen tv but the bar prices were above average The only real downside is the roundabout/traffic right outside and not knowing which lane to be in to enter the hotel premises...We had to jump 3 lanes to get in the right one! lol

Very good value hotel, good location with pub next door serving a very varied menu. Rooms look newly refurbished and very clean. Breakfast has lots of options and all very fresh. Drinks are very expensive, bottled cider is £5 per bottle!! Makes it very expensive to drink in the bar but while the pub next door serves good food it is also full of children and very busy so we prefered the tranquility of the hotel bar

Cost and location I selected fair for staff has I did not have much communication or contact with the staff apart from picking up the key on arrival. Clarity is required. I was undre the understanding that my card detailss was only to hold the room and payment would not be made on arrival.

We chose this hotel for it's location as we were a group of friends from different areas of the country meeting up. Some of us travelled by car and others by train which made this hotel ideal. The staff were fantastic, friendly, informative, nothing to much trouble. Rooms were very comfortable.

The hotel is well located for Birmingham, Dudley and Wolverhampton. It is just off the m5 and meant we were able to get to the Alexandria Stadium in around 15 minutes The hotel is modern and clean and breakfast is included in the price. Breakfast time was very busy and it was difficult for staff to keep the buffet breakfast replenished.
