poor resturant menue
Location was good plus having the restaurant near was a big plus.
Could do with more breakfast items for guests!
Friendly staff Comfortable rooms
Wifi wee bit slow
Great staff, good location, very clean and tidy room.
Good size of the room, clean, comfortable beds
Banging doors, noisy to close, not very well sealed. I am a good sleeper, but was woken up few times when guests were going in/out, because of banging doors...
Location...spot on as a break after travelling from the Highlands...
Breakfast coukd have been better...staffing were excellent, young people who were friendly and helpful...food, not so much...
A cooked breakfast is not a cooked breakfast without bacon
Good location. Good breakfast.
The locations and choice thereof are excellent; as is the standard of service and accommodation. I have never been disappointed. The product exceeds the price.
clean, breakfast included, good bed, nice shower
room was quite hot at night, we didnt enquire about changing the temperature though, so partly our fault
we liked most things
the breakfast there was only three items on the cooked breakfast i would have liked more
Location good. Reasonable accommodation for short stay.
Noisy from traffic on road and noisy guests at 3.30 am. having a cigarette outside main door just below our window. Breakfast area cramped and hectic. Noticed one or two unpleasant incidents e.g. staff member coughed over bread rolls whilst filling them up and rubbed teaspoon with thumb to make sure it was clean enough and then put it out for use. Should mention this was a senior staff member not one of the younger ones! General feeling of hotel was quite good but one or two things could certainly be improved.
Staff were great, When I arrived there was a un happy couple in front of me checking in a female member of staff was dealing with them, she did extremely well in the difficult circumstance. Well done to her.
The staff were so friendly, we arrived in the morning and our rooms were ready to check in which made the day run much smoother. The girls at reception where very helpful and chatty too. A very nice experience.
Unfortunately one of the female members of staff at breakfast the next day was not so friendly. The stock of hot foods was low and when I enquired if there were more to come out she got a bit snappy with me and my son. Otherwise the help yourself brekkie was a hit.
Staff most helpful at reception. We checked in late evening as we had been at Commonwealth games, couldn't have been more helpful. Well done.
We decided to have a drink at the bar, before we turned in. The young man who served us, didn't seem to know what a Rose wine was, I got my lager in a dark beer glass, not a Becks glass,it was filled to the top, no head, had to ask for it to get a head on it. We wanted another rose wine, but none cold!! A bit more bar training required I think.
Fantastic staff, room and food (breakfast) were great. Right next door to a restaurant for other lunch/dinner options. Not being in the centre of town it was quiet.
The Location was good, the room was big and comfy
The fact my wife has mobility problems the room facilities were excellent except it was on the top floor if anything had happened don't know how we were supposed to escape. I thought the bar prices were extortionate wouldn't even expect to pay these bar prices in Edinburgh
All of the above, good base for travelling around
Location, limited bus service, too many taxis required
Good size of room , clean and tidy
Reception staff wouldn't let us check in early , first time that has ever happened , I told her we didn't want our room, just to fill in the forms etc as we wouldn't be back until late ...rather rudely she refused ...only one plug in the room to use , everything was hard wired in so you couldn't charge more than one phone and my wife couldn't use her hair drier as the plug was too far from the mirror .The sound proofing was very poor , you heard every bang , every foot step every bit of noise from other rooms .The break fast was very poor , very limited in choice They say it's free but I would rather have paid a bit more for some bacon and a fried egg.No biscuits in the room for my cuppa tea , not a deal breaker but as we were paying £180 for two nights it would have been nice
Whole thing staff were so nice friendly and helpful
Only thing would have been nice to have some bacon for breakfast
Great hotel friendly helpful staff good food good location
