Breakfast excellent Room very clean and comfortable
Breakfast was good
Dark room no basic facilities like shower gel - Requested Double on booking - only had twin
I liked that everything was close at hand and it was a short walk to the tube station
The noise outside in the early hours; a lot of voices talking and it echoing around the quadrangle of the building. This was offputting. There was also a continuous clicking noise that I was very aware of when trying to get to sleep. It seemed to be coming from part of some mechanism in the room.
Excellent value Close to tube
I liked the location and the colours used for the room
The valance sheet was dirty and the bottom of the curtain was coming apart which was out so anyone could have tripped over... I had to tuck it in I wrote a comment and handed it to the desk I hope they do something about this
Location, brand, convenience
Terrible breakfast - even the coffee - worst I've had at a hotel in years
Breakfast was self service, selection on cooked was poor,
Clean, good breakfast, close to tube and easy to get to 02 from hotel
Dirty chairs and carpets in room Dirty curtains at window Dirty carpet
Location for 02 arena
Loo seat loose
The staff are fantastic but I booked a double bed and got a single. Outside the hotel itself were a mound of rubbish bags and the smell was awful. I also got charges €10.79/£8 for a glass of red wine which was shocking.
Breakfast and the option to order in take way as no restaurant. Location good. Close to station and emirate airline. Staff very helpful and friendly. Travelled with eldest daughter and felt very safe.
Very very noisy guest next door. Did spoil it slightly. Views not brilliant but wouldn't put me off going again as location ideal for what we wanted
When given the option while booking for 2 twin or 1 double bed as a couple we obviously chose the double bed. On arrival we were told no double bed rooms were available and the double bed was a special request. We were very disappoint as pushing 2 twin beds together wasn't what we had in mind when booking our hotel and it should be made very clear when booking that the double room was not guaranteed as we would of phoned up the hotel to check availability.
Location - close to Canning Town DLR, O2 and City airport. Good quality room and a car park.
Breakfast organisation - lack of! Appeared unable to cope with high level of demand, limited offer of cooked breakfast and no sign of contrition when this was pointed out at reception on check-out.
Breakfast was decent. Friendly staff Clean, comfortable rooms
Wifi was at best spotty. The Holiday Inn also did NOT allow International calls, except made at the front desk. Location had some disadvantages (one restaurant and one off-brand market within reach)
Well positioned to make an early start from London City Airport. Fairly basic but clean and all necessities provided for.
Room was clean comfortable and spacious. Staff were friendly and the service efficient.
Breakfast was a bit limited but not a major issue, being charged £10 for parking to open the gate as I left, when it was already open.
Clean, near to transport....buses and trains. Good breakfast.
Lots of traffic noise
idea location for where we were going and what we were doing.
blocked shower, no gin, expencive drinks & slow service.
Located along Jubilee Underground line Staff were courteous and tried to help us get more comfortable
Hard beds - we felt every spring Tissues were never replaced - my wife used them up every night because they would only stuff 1-3 more tissues into the empty tissue box rather than replacing the box It took us too long to get into and out of town. It would have been much better to have stayed within Zone 2 of the Metro map.
The room was clean and well laid out. There's no bath but the shower was fine with plenty of hot water. The aircon worked well and was reasonably quiet. The Excell centre was in walking distance and it was an easy cycle ride to the Olympic park for the start of Ride London. The near by Italian restaurant was very nice and managed to fit us in as we were hotel guests , despite them being exceptionally busy.
My husband left his hat behind and apparently they couldn't arrange to post it back as there was no post office near by. So we made the hour de-tour to collect it.
lproximity to travel facilities eg Docklands Light railway
lack of views of the docks
most things are good, cleanliness, staff service especially the free breakfast.
I lived in here five days but they never change my sheet and quilt. the free wifi is so slow and not better than mobile network.
The location was good - with excellent view towards the O2 and Canary Wharf. The room was clean and tidy.
Could not get a bottle of water - machine was empty and the staff said they had none behind the bar. Breakfast disappointing - no bacon or tomatoes offered. The welcome tray in our room was not filled up after first day so we couldn't have a cup of coffee
