This small, friendly, family-run guest house is located in a quieter area of Torquay, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and all that the town has to offer.

There are 5 stylish and well-equipped double and family en-suite rooms, all of which are tastefully decorated and furnished. Each room has a TV with Freeview digital channels and tea/coffee making facilities.

Free high-speed Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout and there is a public computer for guests’ use.

Free parking is available on site and Exton House offers a courtesy pick-up service for those travelling by public transport.

The relaxed atmosphere makes Exton House a great choice for families and couples alike. Unfortunately, the guest house does not accept bookings for single-sex groups or parties.

Rooms are serviced daily, unless the room has not been vacated by 11:00.

Food & beverage

A generous and tasty breakfast is included in all of the quoted prices. The hearty breakfast includes cereals, fruit, yoghurts and, of course, a traditional full cooked English breakfast. If you would prefer something a little lighter from the cooked menu, this is also all included in the price. Vegetarians and those with special dietary needs can be accommodated by prior request. 3-course evening meals are also available by prior request. Meals are freshly prepared and made using locally sourced ingredients, wherever possible. The residents’ bar offers a range of reasonably priced beers, spirits, wines and soft drinks.

Area information

Along with Paignton and Babbacombe, Torquay is one of the 3 towns that form the English Riviera. There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area, including plenty of activities for all ages, from relaxing on the beach, to water sports, and from fishing to a night at the theatre. There are also many local attractions and sights to see.

With a wonderful climate that belongs somewhere much further south, Torbay has 22 miles (35 km) of coastline, cliffs and beaches, featuring some of the best walks in England. The varied and spectacular coastline is part of the South West Coast Path, which runs for 630 miles (1015 km), from South Haven to Minehead.

The English Riviera is not only a place to relax and soak up the atmosphere, but also somewhere to take part in many exciting activities such as jet skiing, diving, fishing and all sorts of sporting activities. The nightlife is superb, whether you are looking for a romantic evening meal or a night out on the town. Torbay has something to suit all tastes and ages. With many beaches to choose from, and 2,000 acres of award-winning public parks and gardens to explore, the English Riviera really is one of the most beautiful holiday destinations around.

By Car (from the M5 motorway):
- Follow the signs to Torquay.
- At Newton Abbot roundabout, carry straight along onto the A3022.
- At Torre station traffic lights (by Halfords), bear right into Avenue Road.
- Go straight across at the next set of traffic lights, taking the next left into Bampfylde Road.
- At the next left (Rowdens Road), the hotel’s car park is 50 metres further on, on the right-hand side.
