The position and location of Eynsham Hall

The cottage accommodation whilst clean, it needs refurbishment and the addition of double glazing. The room was cold during our visit, with no means of turning on the heating. We needed to go across to the main hall for comfortable seating - but this was always noisy with wedding guests.

The hotel complimentary breakfast was just what we needed to start our day.

There were quite a few drunken noisy guests around which made sleeping difficult as we were on the ground floor of eynsham lodge. This was due to a wedding coinciding with our stay.

The staff on reception couldn't have been more helpful or willing to please. We also had dinner, the food was lovely and the waiter was brilliant. He didn't hover or interrupt conversation like so many other waiters at similar hotels and restaurants seem to! The view from the main hall bedroom was absolutely stunning and the wedding just below us and our windows was not rowdy or too loud in the slightest.

Customer service was excellent, grounds were beautiful, public areas in the house were nice, to the extent that I could see them given that half the public rooms weren't available to me due to a wedding. Food was very good (possibly some of the best hotel food I've ever had). Pool was fine, though Sauna was on the small side.

Our room - a double, apparently - could only fit two people in by having the small double bed shoved up against the wall. So one of us had a bedside light (or would have, if it had worked) and side table, the other of us was sleeping up against the wall, climbing out of bed when the need arose, which is not what I'm used to - indeed, some people would struggle with that. Had we been away for a couple-time Bridget Jones MiniBreak, I would have cried.

    - Beautiful main property exterior with relatively conservative tasteful modernisation inside. - Tastefully designed (exterior) extra-accommodation facilities. - Good view of main house and gardens. - Friendly, professional staff - Decent menu with well prepared meals, albeit I received 'well done' when asking for 'rare'. - Good commuter links - No brash party guests - nice quiet tasteful stay.

    - Interiors of extra-accommodation were the smallest I have ever stayed in, anywhere, and were barely fit for one person never mind two. This was a common theme at breakfast discussion. - Despite plenty of unused rooms, there was no thought to move guests to larger more comfortable rooms (still in exterior accommodation center). - Bathroom was clean yet very dated and extremely small. - Tips - extend some of the out-side main building rooms and add a little 'comfort touches' and this will be first class! Thank you for a decent stay - best wishes.

Beautiful Hall and grounds. Food excellent; we had dinner and breakfast here. Staff helpful in storing out bicycle inside overnight

We stayed in one of the conference accommodations which was fine. However the laundry van unloading outside quite late at night was not particularly conducive to sleep.

The look of the place, all very grand.

The room allocation on the 2nd floor of the main house with a 4-month old baby. No lift, no secondary glazing in the small and creaky floored room which was above the smoking bin with wedding revelers until 3am! the room phone that didn't work when assistance was needed? Unhelpful staff when inquiring about the non-use of the phone.

The grounds and main hall were fantastic! Very well kept and appointed. I had asked for a room similar to the ones I had seen on-line, and that's exactly what I got! Our room was huge with a beautiful view looking out over the gardens at the back. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent! I would definitely stay there again in a heart-beat!.

That I only had the opportunity to stay for one night!

Staff were all excellent Restaurant was very good, one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Grounds were great. Ambience of the hall itself was atmospheric

The bed and pillows were poor quality. Room was a bit small, but ok for one night

Nothing negative. Room in the lodge was comfortable though lacking the character of the main building.

The rooms in the lodge were comfortable and just about the right size. The staff in the reception and in the gun room were excellent. The meals were of a good standard.

I had a slice of bread for breakfast on the 12/08/14 which had mould on it, and the shower head in our room was furred up with lime scale and I had to clean it to get a good volume of water out of it.

The location and grounds were fantastic. Breakfast was outstanding. Very friendly staff with a warm welcome. Plenty of space for parking. Main hall building was regal and impressive. Spotlessly clean room also.

A small room unfortunately and with no bath.. This was a lodge room though.
