Very nice clean, quiet hotel in a lovely location.

Accomodation excellent, staff friendly and efficient, my bed was very comfortable and so large that I needed to send my wife a letter to communicate with her

The chef wasn't good at cooing meat for dinner

Location : this small hotel is tucked away on the side of a hill in a very peaceful setting. We sat outside watching the sea and listening to the sheep baa. The air is so fresh and the bed so comfy that it is a great place to stay for a relaxing break. Very friendly staff & good food.

The hotel was particularly convenient for the place which we needed to get to, which was why I selected it, and it offered decent quality accommodation at a sensible price. I was fully satisfied.

Good position within 5 minute walk of beach and South West Cost Path. Very high standard of food both in restaurant and bar and good, friendly service.

Good food & helpful staff & we appreciated the surprise with the Easter egg!

The Hotel is in the beautiful Dorset countryside but only 300 yards from the beach. It is very friendly clean and welcoming. The palmers beer is well kept. The breakfast is amazing.

The road you have to go down to get to it. Its very narrow and winding with passing spots. Great care is needed but well worth the effort.

It's in a lovely place near the sea and the food was great, we really enjoyed our breakfast. The staff we met were keen and friendly.

The room was a little 'tired', it looked old. The shower was a cheap affair with a bendy floor and little water pressure. The tv didn't work and we were fobbed off with an excuse. If we'd been planning to stay in the area longer we'd have moved to a different hotel.

The location is excellent for accessing the coastal path and is very close (half hour walking) to one of the highest cliffs of the south coast. It is next to a lovely shingle beach where fossils can be found.

The four poster bed didn't add anything extra with the posts just getting in the way of moving around the room.

It was a delightful stay in an outstandingly beautiful area. The hotel was well situated close to sea and footpaths it was warm clean and catered for all our needs . The staff were more than helpful and the food was fresh and cooked beautifully.

Can't think of a single thing ! it was such a memorably delightful experience.

Fabulous family run small hotel ideally located for walks and fossil hunting along the Jurassic coast. The restaurant food was excellent, and the breakfast in particular was perfectly cooked.

Nothing, but we were the only two fossils to be found on the day!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The refurbished areas are of a very high standard. The bedroom, bathroom and public areas were all very clean. Free WiFi available although sometimes the signal was intermittent. Nice that dogs are welcome.

The sea view was a little disappointing as it is between 2hills and past a neighbouring house. It was a shame what had to eat our food in the bar on the second night. Whilst I know we had food from the bar menu the hotel and restaurant were very quiet so there was plenty of room. The bed was also not very comfortable. These are all small things but for the price charged I expect the highest quality.

Expensive bar prices. Poor quality beer. Very poor water pressure in the shower. Dated and poorly decorated room (missing wallpaper due to dampness).

Excellent bar meal really good, soup very tasty and the Bass was very good but portions a little small I thought. Breakfast very good and prompt service with a smile all round I would stay here again.

Nothing much to dislike except I'm not fond of staying in dog friendly hotels.

THE Food was fantastic the staff in the dining room very friendly and helpfull presentation of meals very attractive

The recepionist on arrival. and the so called superior room with water damage and an od wash stand and toilet with a small very poor shower. With no one interested to ask if everything was ok or did you enjoy your stay, but did want payment.

Excellent location, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the bar meals were also very good. The hotel was quiet and the staff polite and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

Secluded, friendly family hotel
