The Royal Yeoman is a charming roadside B&B with plenty of parking and a large garden with a mill stream and access to beautiful walks along the River Frome.

Score from 5 reviews Superb
Staff efficiency, friendliness and courtesy; the launge/terrace; proximity to beach. Breakfast was excellent, and the waiting staff demonstrated genuine interest in providing excellent service. The welcome on arrival was also excellent. The bed was great. I would stay here again
My single room's bathroom which is in need of total refurbishment. It is minute in size and it will be a real challenge to make it up to standard. If it was not for the bathroom the score for the comfort would be excellent instead of good. Having said that everything in it worked.
Friendly staff made us feel welcome. Great views and comfortable room.
Hotel Staff Food Views Bedroom WiFi Relaxed atmosphere Everything
Only stayed for two nights!
Really excellent, well cooked food nicely presented. Location gave views to die for. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Road access is very tight and not very well signposted.
Very helpful and friendly staff as well as the location on the gorgeous Jurassic coast
Wifi somewhat patchy, but appreciate its availability via the hotel
Beautiful interior, great breakfast, scenic view, very helpful staff
Bathroom was pretty small
Beautiful location, excellent staff, generally good food (excellent breakfast), room had bath and shower, everything worked.
Only one window in our room opened, from the bottom and not very far. Add the very hot weather during our visit and the room became very stuffy overnight, making sleep difficult for both of us.
LOCATION BREAKFAST STAFF
SOME ASPECTS NEED MODERNISATION AND IMPROVEMENT
Location is lovely...nice room and the staff were really friendly
Poor reception on tv
Peace and quiet Nice room lovely view great breakfast
The approach road was a bit hazardous, not something I would want to do too often.
This hotel/b&b is a quiet, well run, hotel. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and hospitable!! There is nothing to dislike! The views from the hotel are beautiful, and the food was outstanding!! Breakfast and dinner in the evening were great. Lots of choice and well presented! We would not hesitate to recommend the family run hotel to travelers, and will be returning in the near future!!
We booked the last vacant room available in the hotel, which was okay, it had a lovely view of the sea, however we found the ensuite a bit too small for us and needed updating, but that would not stop us from returning again, but booking earlier and hopefully getting a better room next time!!
Very overpriced for quality of hotel
Nothing was too much trouble. The room was perfect, view lovely, location quite and calming, food lovely. We asked for hake and requested potatoes, capers and samphire which was not with this particular menu item but was changed for us. It was beautiful.
Perhaps a 2nd shampoo/shower gel in the room.
The stunning location among leafy lanes, sheep dotted meadows with views and walks along the cliffs. Our lovely light filled room. The friendly and helpful staff who made the difference. Lots of dogs!
Location food staff sitting on resdents terrace
Shabby room but clean non itemised bill dogs allowed in.
Local knowledge of staff and their extreme helpfullness. Nothing was too much trouble. The dinners were tasty and very well presented.
A smaller sized portion at dinner would have been appreciated.
Location is really tucked away, the accommodation is the largest but very comfortable, breakfast is excellent and staff very helpful. Take a walk down to the beach in the morning - beautiful. My second visit so something must be right!
Not a dislike - but be prepared to navigate narrow lanes down to the hotel. It's all part of the charm!
The location and view. Variety and presentation of food coupled with the service
A small personnel lift would have made it perfect!
Fabulous position , walk to the beach and coast walking tracks. Very peaceful place .
Breakfast was excellent Smugglers Bar a real asset
Towels - too stiff and for money paid very disappointed TV was very intermittent Lack of basic toiletries for money paid Room old fashioned Quilt rather than blanket would be better
Eype's Mouth Country Hotel is set in the stunning surroundings of cliff top hills along the Jurassic coastline and is quite close to a very beautiful beach. This is ideal for runners and walkers. The staff are very helpful and friendly; the rooms are immaculate and are cleaned daily. The food is very tasty; the restaurant has a very nice menu and breakfast is stunning!
Bar was available and kept open. Very friendly staff and a really lovely breakfast.
Toilet blocked in room. But staff moved us to another room until it got fixed the next morning.
The glimpse of the sea
No chair in the bedroom. I know it is a single room with a double bed but a chair would make it much more comfortable.
It's a nice location and the staff are obliging.
Disappointing meals - for example a steak ordered medium rare was well done and dry. For £100 per night, parts of the hotel are "down at the heel" and in need of refurbishment. If the wifi is important to you, you will find it very slow - a 1.5Mb/sec connection simply cannot cope with lots of users.
Location and good breakfast
No soundproofing between rooms , water pressure poor took ages to run bath and very poor showers.
