Eyre Guest House  

Eyre Guest House was a friendly, easy going and informal place where you immediately felt at home. The breakfast was lovely and the staff very nice and efficient.

The friendly and helpful staff was the best feature. The breakfasts were outstanding as well. The room was very satisfactory and comfortable. I had no complaints other than the very minor one that I didn't have enough little milk sachets to last the weekend. I would certainly stay again and recommend you to others wanting to stay in Edinburgh.

really enjoyed our stay in the eyre guest house. I would recommend it to anyone that doesnt mind having to walk 10 minutes to get to the city center.

Lovely staff, nice rooms and a very good breakfast with for example fresh strawberrys!

The room was clean but a little bit cold. It was tiny but it had everything, boiler, tea, coffee, tv, wifi, hair drier. The breakfast was satisfactory and the staff really friendly. The position is very good, only ten minutes on foot from the city center. I recommend this BnB If you are looking for an inexpensive accommodation. I think it is a good combination of quality and price!

It was not absolutely clean and my room was at the ground floor and it was cold

The staff were very friendly and they upgraded my single room to a family room. Great breakfast and buffet spread. Walking distance to main Waverly station and main Princes street. I just wish the WiFi is better in the hotel room.

The welcome was very friendly, and I was made to feel very welcome.

Heating in room was inadequate

For the price this was an absolutely fantastic guest house for my weekend visiting friends. Perfectly located for sightseeing - a 10 minute walk from the shops and pubs. I would expect to pay double for the location and friendly hospitality I recieved.

I thought the staff were very friendly and very accommodating at all times. I was fortunate enough to be upgraded to a double room at the price I was quoted for single room which was a great bonus. The breakfasts were excellent the housekeeping likewise. The staff were always smiling and polite and on several occassions helped me out with directions, suggestions, the use of their personal cd player and dvd library. I shall definitely be returning to Edinburgh and my first choice for accommodation would be the Eyre Guest House.

Nothing at all to complain about (apart from wishing I could stay longer!!!!!)

The owners of the Hotel are very nice and helpful people.The location is 15- minutes on foot from Princess Str. And 20 from royal mile str. There is a bus stop one minute away which goes to centre.

The staff were lovely and it was very relaxed

There was a lot of road noise which made it a bit difficult to sleep but that is a location issue rather than any fault of the guest house

I would definately stay here again. I travell to Edinburgh many times a year and wish I had discovered this little gem sooner. Beautfiul Georgian house in the New Town area, reasonably close to city centre and excellent value for money
