good food, comfortable bed, hosts were friendly.
the only seating in the living area were two kitchen chairs and a sofa bed which wasnt comfortable at all, and the tv was high up on the wall. not as good as we have been used to ,
We thought the breakfast window was not long enough i.e 08:15 to 09:00 meant we had to get up 07:30
location right by bus stop wonderful breakfast plenty of choice lovely bedroom and en suite all mod cons
would have liked fresh towels every day.. television screen could have been larger.
Our few days stay at Fair winds was the perfect location for visiting family who were camping nearby. The warm welcome, the clean and comfortable accommodation and the excellent breakfasts made our short break perfect.
Gill & Paul run a friendly B & B with good choice of breakfasts. The bus stop was right outside so very useful for the short trip into Brixham or to the steam fair and bike rally which we were part.
The B & B is on a main road which can be busy but being bikers we used earplugs for the first night and then got used to any traffic noise after that so don't let this put you off.
The location was handy for touring surrounding beauty spots
All In all it was satisfactory
Very Clean. Breakfasts
Our room, Santa Ana, ground floor front, was described as "King Room" but we found it cramped and stuffy in the Summer heat with intrusive road noise when the windows were opened. We would not agree that this room is suitable for people with limited mobility. Requested "Decaf" tea and coffee for the room, with fresh milk if possible, on our booking form. Pointed this out on arrival but never did get it (always carry your own!). Ensuite water took some time to get hot at shower and sink. On second day we locked our room when going out for a few hours but on return found it had been left unlocked and ajar by cleaners, a major cause of concern for property security when not present. Despite claims wi-fi was not attainable in this room and the TV "Guide" was unable to achieve programme information. On day of departure breakfast milk was sour. We would agree with the Dutch visitors of September 2013 about the "rules" and also felt very unwelcome.
Hospitality brilliant breakfasts lots of variety good food offered/accommodation clean had a brilliant 4 days didn't want to leave well done Jill and Paul 10 out of 10!!!
Nothing really probAbly would have liked towels changed every other day rather than 3 days but other than that nothing at all everything was perfect !
Very welcoming and helpful. Comfortable room with good facilites
Room was very hot - not your fault but would have liked a fan - didn't like to bother you late at night.
The breakfast of pancakes and fruit was very good.
We find the room very hot and could of done with a fan even tho the window was open all day and night found it to hot to sleep well.
friendly hosts, quiet room, good breakfast
wifi was a bit hit n miss
Homely. Friendly welcome and pleasant terrace. Good to have an honesty fridge for drinks.
The slatted blinds let in light at night - maybe an optional black-out blind would be an extra feature.
Cleanliness was fantastic as was loacation.
Everything was as it should be, comfortable accomodation, good food & excellent hosts.
Friendly welcome from owners. Lovely Canadian style breakfast. Whole establishment spotlessly clean.
We really enjoyed our stay. Paul and Gill made us feel very welcome. With bus stops nearby and a great bus service you don't need to use your car. The breakfasts were outstanding.
The warm, friendly welcome from Gill and Paul made us feel straight at home. Our room was clean and comfortable and just the ticket for our 4 night stay. The breakfasts were gorgeous and substantial with a great choice (we definitely recommend the pancakes) Gill was a mine of information for places to visit even on a rainy day! Will definitely return in the not too distant future..
fair winds was lovely! you get a wonderful welcome & a great run through of how every thing works in the room as well as a great info book on the local areas & of course Gills top 10 places to go. the breakfast was without a doubt the best breakfast we have had in a guest house. you get a very good choice each day.
there is not really anything i can say that i didnt like. the walk from fair winds to the harbour is about a 15 min walk, but there is a bus service that drops you door to door. be carful of the shower, my husband had an experiance of it going very hot! to very cold, but once we played with the tempreture it was fine. the room was very clean & fresh but for some reason the remote controls where covered in dust! which was strange as the rest of the room was spotless.
A very friendly B&B. Excellent location with bus stops right outside the door and free parking. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The choices for breakfast were excellent and well cooked. Free WiFi with good speeds and freeview TV.
I can't think of anything.
friendly and welcoming very clean lovley breakfast would recommend to anybody.
Great variety of breakfast, beautifully cooked and well presented.
Travelling with an elderly family member, it would have been helpful to have had a handrail by the two steps leading up to the front door. She found it difficult getting up the steps without help.
Breakfast. Friendly and helpful hosts, comfy beds, great shower.
Signs on wall in bathroom.
Gill & Paul were very friendly giving lots of info about the local attractions etc. Property was very clean & breakfast very good.
Breakfast was served a bit early for us - being on hols we fancied a lie in!
Paul and Gil were excellent hosts, and the quality of the breakfasts was exceptional. Gil was very helpful in terms of travel and location advice. The accommodation was very comfortable and it was nice to have on site parking.
