The hotel is nestled just below Symonds Yat Rock and stands exclusively in grounds of almost 5 acres, overlooking the river. It has terraced gardens of magnolia trees and a well established wisteria.

The completely refurbished Orles Barn is full of charm and original features, including oak-beamed bedrooms.
Score from 161 reviews Very good
Ideally placed between the historic towns of Monmouthshire and Chepstow. Tintern is in the heart of the Wye Valley, and all of the attractions it has to offer.
Score from 137 reviews Fabulous
It is the warmth and thoughtfulness of the owners that makes this a wonderful place to stay. Excellent food and beautiful location as well.
Spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast. Attention to detail, e.g. toiletries available if needed.
Small room, small double bed.

Nothing - Everything was perfect
Nothing it was all fab
I was travelling alone and welcomed the homeliness of Fairfield and ease of access to Chepstow. The breakfast was great and the owners were able to give me a glass of wine when I arrived back one evening as I was driving.
Excellent location for visiting the Wye valley. The accommodation and facilities were excellent and Stuart and Martien were very helpful . Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. It was nice to have a sherry when we arrived.
The parking at the Guest House is very tight but should not put people off
I expect good, clean, simple. Fairfield Guest house was all of these and more--it was downright elegant. I felt spoiled as I sat on the deck each morning looking out over the Wye Valley eating my breakfast. Stewart and Martien make you feel as though you're an honored guest in their home.
I was made very welcome and felt very comfortable coming and going at my leisure and using the communal lounge. Breakfast was varied and lovely and - as the weather was lovely - I ate outside On the deck. This is a 5 minute drive from Tintern Abbey (a must see) where there is a lovely pub named the Anchor Inn who do wonderful meals. If I was in the area again I would definitely stay at the Fairfield Guest House.
There was nothing not to like,
A lovely warm welcome when we arrived. Some lovely personal touches in the room. A glorious morning for a delicious breakfast on the dining room balcony. Wish we could have spent a little longer there.
Good friendly couple,everything was okay.
Having Breakfast on the balcony and watching the river mist burnoff from the surrounding hills. Loction is fantastic and within easy reach of Cardiff which was our main aim for the speedway GP.
Nothing we had a wonderful weekend
Friendly and helpful owner, lots of nice touches to make it stand out from the norm. Excellent breakfast, peaceful surroundings. One of the best guest houses we have stayed at, would recommend it to others. Really enjoyed our visit.
Really friendly & great place to stay.. Breakfast on the sun terrace was beautiful.

Nothing to not like.
very friendly people, excellent breakfast, lovely views from the bedrooms.
We received a very warm welcome and was able to sit on the lovely terrace enjoying the sunshine with a complimentary glass of sherry.
The room was lovely but a little small.
Our stay at Fairfield was such a wonderful experience. Our hosts made us so comfortable and the room was lovely. The surrounding area had everything we needed for a relaxing, long awaited vacation. Breakfast was awesome!
The service from Stuart and Martien was excellent and they were very accomodating to make our stay very pleasant and enjoyable. There was wifi plenty of brochures on the area, they gave some great recommendations as the place was very clean and comfortable.
nothing springs to mind...
location, comfort , interior decor, food , welcome from ther hosts
Our stay at the Fairfield Guest House was just want we wanted. My wife and I had gone there for a relaxing weekend away, and the beautiful surroundings and pleasant facilities at the guest house delivered just that. Stuart and Martien were wonderful hosts, welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic (although the size of it made the 4 mile hike a bit harder!) and we stayed in for dinner on Saturday, which was really great. Overall, a great place to stay!
The hosts made us feel very welcomed, nothing was to much trouble, had nice touches such as chocolates in the room as well as a complimentary box of essentials, and we hope to stay there again in the near future.
