Staff very friendly
Room a bit cramped too much in room. Although only about a100 metres very steep climb on part of road to accomadation, not good if disabled in any way.
The proprietor, Tony, was a very welcoming person with a great knowledge of the local area
Couldn't fault it at all
the location of hotel great, just a short walk into center of town
maybe it was just loud guest but the walls seemed very thin. Not really the hotels fault though .
Excellent attentive owner, good location, great breakfast, nice and clean
very small wardrobe poor wi fi
Comfy bed, great beakfast freshly cooked, friendly staff.
Friendly and comfortable.Use of a communal lounge.
The room was very small and didn't have space for a comfortable chair. We found it restricting for our luggage but were there for one night only.We commented on the room size and were told that booking.com did not have a list of all the rooms available.Disappointing for us.
Excellent location, excellent hosts, on site parking free wifi clean comfortable rooms and a nice choice at breakfast would definately recommend
Nothing we really enjoyed our stay
Friendly welcome; helpful, cheerful staff. Great facilities : good car-parking; comfortable bedroom; re-fitted bathroom (excellent shower). Quiet location, only 4 minutes from village. Grand full English breakfast.
Nothing not to like. The only concern for the less-mobile, less fit, is the access from the village centre. It is a tad steep - but then you are in the Lake District. Would not stop us staying again at Fairfield.
Breakfast very good, twinned with a very pleasant service.
The room allocated was Bijou to say the least. We only had a bed to sit on. The bedroom although handy being on the ground floor lacked privacy. We both felt it was not value for the money we paid.
food,4poster bed ,bath.
room could have done with a coat of paint also a new carpet.
The location was great, breakfast was brilliant, choice of DVD for thos early nights
THE HILL !!!
Friendly host and staff
Too steep a climb up the slope for the seniors.
Total service, Location, Environment Facilitates, Employees, Food
Near enough to walk to the centre of Bowness and its many restaurants and attractions. Good breakfast served by pleasant staff. Lovely garden to sit and relax.
Over fussy decor which detracted from nice house. A bit shabby without the chic. Proprietor was pleasant and chatty but the interaction between him and his wife was edgy and felt uncomfortable. Bedroom was cramped.
Good location and parking. Staff welcoming and friendly. Excellent breakfast
Local information always to hand.Friendly and helpful staff.Good food and a clean hotel.
comfortable /clean room etc excellent breakfast wide choice of food nice garden area very friendly / efficient Spanish waiter
very steep hill up from the town to hotel (no problem for me) could be problem for elderly or disabled
Breakfast Bed linen Bed comfort Hotel grounds
Friendly greeting, attention and care for guests, service and warmness. Everything was really really nice.
Floors r a bit noisy and it will be worth investing in putting wireless signal boosters on the top floor.
clean, friendly, good breakfast,
Relaxed private friendly atmosphere
Superb 4 poster room with excellent bathroom, large car park, quiet location, lovely gardens and a great breakfast. Overall a very pleasant stay in a delightful location.
Although only a short walk into Bowness the return journey is up a steep hill which would be an issue for less mobile patrons.
very friendly, coming a third time
