Good location. Plenty of parking. Very peaceful and quiet at night. Clean bathroom. Lounge area small but cosy with real fire.
Room over priced for quality and size. Book superior double, room quit small and strange extra single bed in corner of room. Decor not to our taste, could do with an update/refresh. Lack of hot water which i did mention to owner. Breakfast OK but not the best fry up I've had.
This was our second visit to Fairfield and the stay was as pleasurable as the first. Very pet friendly (with our own side entrance) and no distance at all from the town and lake. A perfect quite getaway
Fairfield house was absolutely lovely to stay in. Me and my husband went on a mini break straight after our wedding and we found this place perfect :)
We visited in November, the staff were friendly and efficient, the location was excellent and the room and whole hotel was beautifully presented, comfortable and clean. Will definitely return.
We found this hotel from the booking.com website and what a gem it turned out to be. Beautifully furnished, well appointed, spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast and brilliant attention and advice from owner Tony. Could not fault it.
it was a very pleasant stay with good atmosphere. the staff were very polite and the place was spotless. having stayed all over the lakes i can say these people know what is needed for a pleasant vacation. very clean room through out WELL DONE ALL
Quiet location but near all attractions
Breakfast was good
Shower flooded the bathroom, couldn't use the lounge had family staying
Friendly staff and helpful advice.
Rather cramped bedroom and maybe a TV in lounge would have enhanced the stay.
An impromptu weekend stay meant that Fairfield proved to be the ideal base in an idyllic town. Host and owner Tony and his staff could not have been more hospitable and while recommend this place to anyone seeking Bowness location.
Nothing to NOT like!
Highly recommend FAIRFIELD house for a stay in the Lake District. Tony is an excellent host & the facilities, breakfast & location are great.
Fairfield house was a relaxing break for myself and my wife. The member of staff who looked after us Victor was kind, friendly & helpful, the room was quiet & peaceful and the gardens were truly magical. I would definately recommend it & we will return.
Everything was perfect the only thing we would change would be the sign outside as it wasn't lit when we arrived in the dark and we almost missed it.
The location is right in the centre. Owner very friendly and recommended some excellent walks for our stay. Good home cooked breakfast on both days. Would stay again
Tony is an excellent host!
Staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. Great location.
Staff very friendly
Room a bit cramped too much in room. Although only about a100 metres very steep climb on part of road to accomadation, not good if disabled in any way.
The proprietor, Tony, was a very welcoming person with a great knowledge of the local area
Couldn't fault it at all
the location of hotel great, just a short walk into center of town
maybe it was just loud guest but the walls seemed very thin. Not really the hotels fault though .
Excellent attentive owner, good location, great breakfast, nice and clean
very small wardrobe poor wi fi
Comfy bed, great beakfast freshly cooked, friendly staff.
Friendly and comfortable.Use of a communal lounge.
The room was very small and didn't have space for a comfortable chair. We found it restricting for our luggage but were there for one night only.We commented on the room size and were told that booking.com did not have a list of all the rooms available.Disappointing for us.
Excellent location, excellent hosts, on site parking free wifi clean comfortable rooms and a nice choice at breakfast would definately recommend
Nothing we really enjoyed our stay
Friendly welcome; helpful, cheerful staff. Great facilities : good car-parking; comfortable bedroom; re-fitted bathroom (excellent shower). Quiet location, only 4 minutes from village. Grand full English breakfast.
Nothing not to like. The only concern for the less-mobile, less fit, is the access from the village centre. It is a tad steep - but then you are in the Lake District. Would not stop us staying again at Fairfield.
Breakfast very good, twinned with a very pleasant service.
The room allocated was Bijou to say the least. We only had a bed to sit on. The bedroom although handy being on the ground floor lacked privacy. We both felt it was not value for the money we paid.
