Very helpful staff throughout the hotel. Dinner excellent Lovely breakfast Hopefully will return soon.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The food served in Michaels the restaurant was first class! The menu had lots of choices. Breakfast in the morning; again there was much to choose from.
The temperature was a little cold in the bedroom. It was a very cold evening when we stayed at the hotel. Perhaps another radiator is required for the size of the bedroom. My sister in law and daughter were in a ground floor room and they told me the next morning that there was a terrible 'din' coming from one of the other rooms and they did not get to sleep until 2 in the morning. They couldn't contact reception by telephone because they couldn't find the number. There seems to be an absence of phone numbers at the bedside to allow clients to contact different areas of the hotel.
Staff were friendly, attentive and had infinite patience. Rooms were large and extremely comfortable. Food and service in the restaurant were excellent, both at dinner and breakfast. We could not have wished for anything better
Guests arriving through the night were a bit noisy, although that was no fault of the hotel or it's staff.
Quiet, near the beach and close to the town centre. Perfect. Great staff, especially at breakfast on Friday and Monday. Interesting art throughout. Food/Wine.
Oh, toilet problem in Huskies! Only having four nights.
Fairfield House Hotel is excellent - good quality rooms (amazing shower!), great food and a lovely atmosphere - difficult to fault. The staff were great from waitress to bar staff to the night porter they are a credit to the hotel. The food was first class for both dinner and breakfast and a great selection of malts behind the bar with a handy taste guide available! No wonder it got hotel of the year - would recommend staying if in Ayr.
Only small fault would be some of the room decor was a little dated but that's being very picky!
This was our 3rd visit and it is still perfection, staff are attentive and very friendly, the food is amazing, the local amenities are just a few minutes walk away......ideal after the belly full breakfast :-) looking forward to our 4th visit.
There are no sweets anymore at the reception desk :-(
The staff were friendly and very helpful. There was a problem with lights in our room but we were moved to another (upgraded) room. The hotel backs on to a lovely strip of green backing on to a long strip of sand so great for walking and enjoying the sea. Easy walk into town. Good quality restaurant. Would go again.
Location was good. On quiet street next to beach and park and only 10 minute walk to downtown. Breakfast was very good and staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms were spacious.
Felt hotel needs an upgrade to rooms including blackout blinds or curtains since the current curtains are so thin that you can read in your room with the curtains closed and the lights out.... Bathroom amenities are very slim.
The leisure complex, and an fab breakfast, helpful and friendly staff, relaxed and comfortable public areas. Lovely sea views.
When window open the extractor in the bathroom whistled, as did the room door. But just closed window.
Fantastic sea view room and staff were great as always!
Noise from leisure suite ventilation/air con kept us awake.
a peaceful night away, with a wonderful meal and breakfast.
Everything about this hotel/staff/rooms/food was perfect. Location is brilliant too.
Went to see the AYR air Show and the hotel bordered the showground, which was a big bonus. Staff were very good and helpful
the décor in the Burns room (tartan wallpaper) I think even Rabbie would have frowned on it
Fantastic hotel with spacious room and bathroom. Excellent food at the restaurant. Huge playground near hotel next to the beach
Slow service at the restaraunt, but food is excellent
Staff efficient and very helpful in everyway . Food of a high quality, but perhaps depending on your choice from the menu lacking quantity. Breakfasts superb . Hope to return in january 2015 with a group of 25 friends. Room very comfortable and contained all necessary requisites.
Disapponted that one of the towels in the bathroom on arrival was wet. Obviously missed when room was prepared. Only a minor fault. Our room on the ground floor looked directly on to a wall.
Exceptional hotel with excellent staff With food quality to match Book without hesitation - you won't be disappointed
bar area very relaxing FOOD GOOD
noisy fans in bathroom cleaning staff very loud early morning
Beautiful Suite with very large room and En-suite . Massive bath with copious amounts of fast flowing hot water . Excellent range of breakfast food. Swimming pool with Jaccuzi , Steam room, Sauna and showers
Our only gripes were the wifi which was pretty poor and large double glazing units which would not close properly causing the wind to whistle in through the night
the location is great the staff very friendly and a very comfortable hotel.
nothing to report re this
good atmosphere and great food very nice location . stars awarded are well deserved.
no faults found
Close to the town centre and beach Friendly helpful staff
The room was a bit tired, wallpaper peeling, bathroom shelf sloping. Had to wait too long for our main course at dinner (over 45mins)
