Location Price Nice rooms Great staff Good breakfast
Lovely friendly staff who rang us as we were running a late to tell us how to gain access should the front desk be closed by the time we got there.
All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable, as was the rest of the house. The full English breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone.
The hosts communicated quickly and were extremely welcoming and informative. The room was spacious, felt recently renovated and had a great mattress and linens. The breakfast was also a delight - great food but also friendly service and so welcoming.
Having to leave :-(
Cosy room, modern bathroom and the very accommodating staff.
Weak wifi inside the room.
Efficient and welcoming staff. Spacious bedroom
Amesbury itself is not very well served with decent places to eat. You have to look outside thevtown
Excellent accommodation with superb breakfast and service
It was very comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast options were good and the cooked English was superb. Willingness to reduce the price of the room at the last minute was good customer service and switched my intention from never staying again to reconsider staying in future. Good breakfast staff. Location close to High Street. Despite cramped conditions the shower was quite good.
Mix up on room booking between own online system and Booking.com meant I was moved from what was supposed to be a spacious double to a cramped single room. The noise from nearby houses made sleep difficult. TV didn't work and even after being shown how to get it working it failed again. TV handsets were caked in dirt that hadn't been cleaned in years. Had to ask for spare T. Roll as space for spare was empty. Tissue box had only one tissue in it, so I assume it wasn't checked when room valeted.
Comfortable clean room, lovely breakfast, nicely served.
Friendly welcome. Good position for centre of Amesbury. Tidy, quiet room with comfy beds. Attractive cellar breakfast room. Nice breakfast once we got it! Found a safe home for our tandem.
Stingy toiletries (one small shampoo bottle and one small body wash for a double room with two smelly cyclists). We had to flag down a waitress for tea and were given a single tea pot between two and had to ask for another to get a cup each. We then had to ask for another for our second cups. We got overlooked for ordering our too breakfast and had to wait 50 minutes before we got it. Table cleaning with strong sprays whilst guests are eating is a no-no.
Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast
Room carpet and fittings shabby and dated. Poor sleep due noise at night
The welcoming and helpful hosts The value for money - very generous breakfast included The friendliness of breakfast waitress Ideal parking nearby
what's not to like at Fairlawn? Nothing
Wifi spotty in our room
The breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended. 10/10 for the staff also. We were very pleased with our stay.
The sink was a little on the small side.
This was our second visit and the comfort, friendliness and efficiency of the staff had not diminished in any way. Keith and Tracy are excellent hosts and we shall return. PEH
We cannot think of any dislikes.
Good Breakfast, very clean rooms, friendly and very accommodating staff.
Location on main road, so noise from traffic until early hours of the morning. Close proximity to Pub/Nightclub with late hours, loud music and noisy customers outside venue. I am no spoilsport but was working the next day and needed the sleep.
Great welcome and fair response to flawed booking. Well kept if slightly faded room. Have an impression that this is a tightly run ship that doesnt respond well positive challenges to the owners routine.
Room, decor and furnishings a little faded. The owners missed an opportunity to step outside their normal regime to offer a full, early breakfast to guests about to embark on a major charity trek from Stonehenge to Avebury. I notified them of the situation just after booking and also suggested a link to the charity for further bookings. The packed breakfast was disappointing.
The house offers nice big rooms, a friendly staff and a great breakfast with a personal touch. There's a nice seating room to relax, or have a drink from the in house bar. There are some pubs and restaurants nearby to choose from since the house is in the main street. It's only 2 miles from Stonehenge.
It is quite expensive. WiFi signal was bad in the room.
maybe the breakfast time could be extended to finish a little later especially on Sundays also check out time a little later
Friendly staff, great breakfast
Booked online not told we would be in the attic room which we found a little difficult.
Close to Stonehenge - breakfast in the cellar dining room was cool
People. Food. Location. Services.
Nothing in particular.
The house old and interesting the decor very tasteful good breakfast
The view from the room and a very noisy road outside
Fine old house, comfortable, friendly helpful staff. Ideally situated for our weekend.
