Close to Stonehenge - breakfast in the cellar dining room was cool
People. Food. Location. Services.
Nothing in particular.
The house old and interesting the decor very tasteful good breakfast
The view from the room and a very noisy road outside
Everyone was super helpful when we did not know exactly where it was. They were comical and welcomed us so kindly and showed us our room. The greeting was very personable, we only stayed for one night but wished we could have stayed longer! Breakfast was delicious and HUGE and helped us through the day! We will be back once again and look forward to it :)
The breakfast was very nice.
The TV didn't have a very good signal and kept making a buzzing noise. The bedroom doors were quite hard to open and close which resulted in people banging them shut.
There was a lovely lounge / bar area to enjoy a quiet drink, as it was raining quite heavily.
Tracey and Keith were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble they were extremely welcoming.- delicious breakfast with plenty of choice on offer!
The only downside it was a little bit noisy at the nightime, however, this was due to street noise - which is out of the Fairlawn's control!
The breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly.
The walls are paper thin and we were woken several times throughout the night by singing, shouting, arguing and ...loud burping! The room was small and smelled musty.
Good parking facilities Friendly staff Good bedroom with a comfortable bed Excellent position in Amesbury Would book there again Excellent breakfast
No A/C, Shower could have been a bit more powerful.
Fairlawn House is a beautiful Georgian home, located in the centre of town. The owners, Keith and Tracey Pullen, were extremely friendly, helpful and simpatico. The full English breakfast was excellent. As I not only visited famous Stonehenge, Amesbury museum, strolled along the River Avon and did a lot of walking tours across National Trust protected grasland to historic sites...my 5 days in Amesbury will be unforgettable.
The bathroom is sufficient but rather smal and should provide a shelf for personal accessories.
Very friendly and helpful staff
Great reception. Refreshing change from traditional business style hotels. Very good breakfast was much appreciated. Will be back.
Very friendly welcome from the owner. Lovely to have a light and airy room. Plenty of eating places within a short walk.
A warm welcome from the very start, breakfast was amazing
Very helpful and friendly staff
Been before and enjoyed it. Room this time was great and therefore trip even better
All aspeccts of the hotel were very good
Friendliness Comfort Nice breakfast and service
The shower going off as soon as I'd soaped up! Low pressure light on - and it was freezing - so waited a few minutes. A minor inconvenience that may well be down to timing!
friendly and very helpful staff at all times . comfortable and quiet room.
The property was clean, well-managed, and convenient to Stone Henge. If you are looking for a quiet place, this would work for you. Parking was a bit inconvenient - in a lot around the corner.
The town was small and there was little to do. We walked around, saw the sights, and quickly got bored. A much better destination would have been Salisbury, about 20 minutes away, where there is an amazing medieval cathedral, lots of restaurants, and much more interesting vibe.
Were met by the owner on arrival with a friendly greeting and conversation; wonderful atmosphere. Small but functional room; quiet.
The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The room was small but perfect for what we wanted. Breakfast was very lovely with lots of choice.
Breakfast could have been a little later
Lovely old building, very clean, very friendly and attentive owners, beautiful clean and comfy bedroom and a great cooked breakfast to get me on my way for the long cycle to Dartmoor.
Friendly helpful staff, cleanliness, excellent breakfast with good choice and freshly cooked to order. Bright bedroom with all mod cons. On main street with easy parking behind and good selection of nearby restaurants and places of interest to visit.
Outside noise from the main road at night as window couldn't close. But there was an air-conditioner in room which deaden the sound. also no fixed shower on wall in bathroom which I found led to a wet floor when using it as a hand shower. the access to the room in the eaves would not be suitable for an elderly or disabled person.
