Hotel and Spa was very nice, clean room and clean facilities. Pool area / sauna was modern and very well kept. The bar decoration was dated and looked tired, breakfast portions "grill" was on the small side even for the advanced £10 booking discount so would be even more of a disappointing size if you were to pay £18!! The staff were very friendly and helpful , would of been nice to have been told there was a disco below/near our room (57) until midnight but other than that an excellent weekend at a great hotel .

Fairlawns hotal is an exceptionally excellent hotel. I organised and paid for a 60th birthday party for my wife which involved a murder mystery evening meal. The staff were wonderful and always said yes to the numerous, myriad requests myself and my 30 guests made. The food was excellent. All my guests felt the rack of lamb was superb. All staff were friendly. The spa area and gym were excellent and better than most hotels I have stayed in around the country. This hotel have got it right. I hope they don't rest on their laureals. But thank you everyone.

Did not use Spa. Friendly, helpful staff. Well appointed, spotless room with all necessary facilities. Excellent food and service in a pleasant dining room. Staff went to the trouble of finding me a razor as I had forgotten to bring the lead for mine. Luggage handling readily available - with a smile!

The Hotel was lovely and the food was great. I really enjoyed using the spa where staff were very friendly. For me personnally the Hotel was a little too hot which made it difficult for me to sleep and with the windows open there was alot of noise from the nearby car park.

Comfort and friendly staff I would have preferred a room with bath and not disabled bathroom but I did not ask to change as I was only there for one night.

It was a nice hotel but undergoing refurbishment, so there was scaffolding and some decorative work going on. The hotel is in need of this as the decor and fittings are somewhat dated; there is not the luxury advertised. The spa was good and the exercise facilities were excellent, if a little crowded. Pool is a good size, clean and with adequate changing. Restaurant was good and the food was well prepared. Nothing to dislike.

Set in peaceful and quiet surroundings. Food was excellent. At top of hotel which meant it was quiet but hard work at the end of a busy day to climb three flights of stairs.

The location Room size When we arrived at midnight the porter checked us in and told us to take the stairs up to our room. I was wearing my wedding dress and we had a couple of suitcases but at no time did he mention that there was a lift we could have used. Also no shower get, I had not packed any as I assumed it would be included with the room. The facilites were in fact no better than Premier Inn and Travelodges we have stayed in although their rooms are a little smaller. For their prices at approx £20 per room we have always had shower gel included. Also I would have thought breakfast would have been served up until 10 am instead of 9 am as we were informed.

The staff proved extremely helpful in acting upon and dealing very quickly with a matter of concern. This could not have been handled in a more professional way. Polite, efficient and welcoming reception and restaurant staff made our stay extremely enjoyable. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Fairlawns Hotel. We did not use the Spa facilities but they appeared to be extremely well organnised and did not interfere with guests staying at the Hotel. Excessively noisy machinery housed in a nearby plant building associated with the spa facilities ... particularly in the early hours of the morning ... did disturb us, but the staff fully appreciated our concern the following morning and a quieter room was immediately offered and made available without question for the following night. Well done Fairlawns for exemplary customer care.

Excellent service, all the staff were polite and very friendly. Everything was provided within the room and it was very clean and tidy. We came to Fairlawns for a wedding being held there and it was a lovely event. Thank you to all staff for making our friends wedding day very special for all. I would definitely stay at Fairlawns again and would recommend it to my friends and family.

Fairlawns is an excellently run family hotel. Service is exemplary and the restaurant offers an excellent menu with a first class breakfast. The staff are very attentive and having stayed on other occasions it is nice to be addressed by my name. The spa and sports facilities are also of a high standard. A first class hotel, regardless of for the business or leisure traveller.
