Fairways ('enjoyEngland' 4 Star Gold Award 2011 & 2010 and Breakfast Award)  

The atention to detail that Chris and Janet have makes Fairways a really relaxing and comfortable place to stay.The rooms are excellent and the breakfast was superb.We would have no hesitation in recommendling this hotel to anyone.

Chris and Janet were fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome. We were offered tea or coffee on arrival which was a lovely touch. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The guest information pack in the room was very usefully stocked with leaflets for ideas for days out and sample menus for many local restaurants. Breakfast each morning was excellent. Fairways is fully deserving of all of its awards and more! We would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to friends, we had a wonderful stay.

Fairways was great value for money.The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and they had a very wide choice to choose from.We also had a good laugh with the owners they were fun to be around.We will book direct next time as its cheaper to do so. The owners also booked our table at a local Bistro for us and they collected me from the station.They deserve there Gold Award.

Very welcoming couple who went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. Beautifully decorated rooms and spotlessly clean. Nice touches in room. Superb breakfast.

The central heating system was noisy in our room and the shower was not particularly powerful.

Hotel staff was really friedly and rooms were clean.

Breakfast finished at 9am even at weekends. Check out was very early: at 10am. Hotel is located quite far from harbor where all the restaurants are.

Everything was first class made very welcome by janet and chris .room very neat ,clean and spacious .

We really enjoyed our stay at Fairways hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was fantastic and the room was very clean and comfortable. Overall a great hotel and very good value for money.

We found the couple who run the B&B very friendly and hospitable. Would definatly return for another trip. The room was clean and tidy, everything was as it should be.

You would have to be extremly picky to find a fault with the B&B.

All the reviews I read before making my booking spoke of what a terrific place Fairways and the frienliness of the owners, Janet & Chris. I have to say that I was not disappointed in any way. The welcome with the offer of a glass of wine, the cleanlinesss and comfort of my room (Room 6) and the choice at breakfast time were all superb. I often stay in the larger hotels, but next time in Torquay it is to Fairways that I´ll be heading. Well done Janet & Chris.

The hotel was clean and welcoming the owners were great to us and helped get our car fixed. we stayed longer as we felt so content. the breakfast was fresh fruit salad that was great then we had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs also great we also had a cooked it was the best we have had .

what can i say except this is a wonderfull guest house 1st class in my opinion i have never stayed at aguest house that on arrival you are asked if you would like tea or coffee or even better a glass of red wine,fullmarks to janet and chris we have stayed here before in actual fact 2 weeks previously and had a wonderfull reception then,full marks for the breakfast excellent i would recommend this establishment to any one who wants value for money well done again janet & chris we look forward to seeing you in the future.

the hosts at this guest house were very friendly and polite, thank you derek & janet for an enjoyable stay, when we next come to torquay we hope that you will be able to accomodate us again, i had a bad back and they were most concerned that i was ok , god bless both of you.John & Sonia Rasmussen.
