room is clean and tidy with garden view. the location is excellent. it is only a few minutes to get to the tube or train station. very convenient for tourists.
although the room is too small for three people, but for spending the nights in London, such price with such facilities is reasonable. however, the bathroom is the smallest i have ever seen. the shower space only has half meter wide. the sprinkle head is broken. we can't even have a good shower
Toilet is very small. I barely be inside in both shower and toilet room. The shower is very weak. Washing long hair is difficulty for me.
Location, facility, and staff are good. easy access to tour bus
air conditioner is not equipped in our room (although it is not necessary to use it in the beginning of August.)
STAIRS.....on top floor.
Helpful staff, location, clean and tidy. Fast WiFi comfortable bed really nothing to worry about
everything was ok but be careful of the narrow stairs especially if using a backpack
hiw quiet it was , and internet good
that there was no lift and no help carry bags
The location was excellent and the staff helpful.
That the toilet for our room was down 3 sets of stairs right next to the corridor, and there was no basin in the toilet. We had to leave the toilet, walk back up 3 sets of stairs to our room in order to wash our hands. To be fair we did sign up for a shared bathroom, but never dreamed we'd have to walk down 3 sets of stairs in the middle of the night. The bill turned out to be a wee bit more than we expected but were told it was because there is a fee for paying by credit card. I must have missed reading that.
so close walking distance to Paddington Station, and yet quiet (little traffic noise) on Norfolk Square with the central gardens. Lovely spot.
Frequent plumbing pipes noise in central 'courtyard' . Was slightly irritating at night trying to get to sleep.
Location and área. Very helpful and friendly receptionist at the desk in the mornings.
Very small room. Poor selection for breakfast. Very high price for what you get for the Money.
Room was too small
Very small room
Reception staff were friendly and accommodating, storing my luggage until evening for example and staying open late. Cooked breakfast, though limited (2 x fried eggs, beans, 1 x cheap bacon, toast) is acceptable. Cheap for the area, especially in a single room - £69. Free wifi (though you may have to ask for it.)
4th floor room with 2nd floor toilet. Soft boiled eggs were like rocks even on the 2nd day of insisting on 3 minutes only; and no eggcups(!) En-suite rooms cost quite a lot more.
No air conditioning - so during hot weather and a top floor room you're going to bake. No elevator and narrow stairs so with a lot of luggage it will be awkward.
Great Location only a couple of minutes walk from Paddington station with a nice little sitting area like a very small park just out the front of the hotel. The room was clean and had a nice view out the front to the small park area at the front of the hotel. Nice little tea and coffee extras, and Television. The lady at the reception was very friendly and nice. There is also items to buy that can be important during your stay for sale at the reception as well to save you from having to go to the store.
Personally I can deal with a lot of short comings because generally like in this case I just used the room to sleep and I left quite early in the morning. So there was nothing I really would complain about other than the water pressure in the shower was very bad. It was quite weak and thus made it longer to shower properly. The only other thing that was not so great was the toilet for my room was actually separate from my room 2 and a half floors down. From what I could tell this is only an issue for 2 of the rooms ( I believe the 2 rooms at the most front of the hotel). Not a complaint for me personally but just a note: There is no lift and the stair case is quite narrow. While this was no big deal for me personally. Older people of people with big heavy luggage may find this difficult if they have a room on the top floors.
Brilliant location next to Paddington station and within walking distance of Piccaddilly and the Palace. They also provide a very English breakfast of bacon and eggs and coffee. It gets pass marks given the price of accommodation in London.
My room was on the top floor and miniature. The single bed was sufficiently comfy for one night but your feet could rest in either the sink at the end of the bed or the shower recess. Getting to the top with a backpack was difficult given dodgy stairwell. The shower didn't have great pressure.
noicy when somebody in upper floor using shower or wc
Location at paddington. good pubs and restaurants in the area. easy access to underground and london attractions. clean. if not bothered by lack of facilities then the place can be considered good value.
do not have toilet in room- own allocated toilet down 2 flights of stairs. rooms very small with no storage space-would not like to have stayed more than the 2 nights for this reason.
clean, convinient, staff are nice
too tiny, no lift, no room for luggage store
Helpful staff, suited our needs well.
The hotel's idea of a full English breakfast is eggs, bacon, beans and toast. Cereal is also available.
1. Location location location being only a stone's throw from Paddington. 2. Value for money given it is London and includes a good cooked breakfast!
1. My single room was absolutely tiny so if you have more than two suitcases you all won't fit in! 2. If you are above the average size, you won't be able to get into the shower unit :)
Perfect location - very close to Paddington Station with connections to Heathrow; the price is right - other hotels in this area are outrageously priced; can leave luggage there; breakfast included in the stay; staff are incredibly friendly and the hotel is clean; I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
no elevator - not a problem for us, but could be a problem for some; our room - especially the bathroom - was small, but if you are in London, you should not be spending that much time in your room anyway; besides, it will give you good stories to tell when you get home :)
The location is good, as it is a few blocks away from Hyde Park.
It is clearly the worst hotel I've ever been. The toilet is located apart from the room, in another floor, you cannot even wash your hands. There is not a single drop of shampoo in the shower. The rooms are located in different floors with no elevator and the breakfast is in floor -1. It is a small house which was made a hotel, better said hostel with private rooms.
very small room.
Tiny room, difficult stairs.
The location is excellent. Very convenient for Paddington station and some nice restaurants nearby. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The toilets are separate from the rooms and ours wasn't on the same floor as our room. No wash basins in the toilets a major hygiene issue! I had to buy anti bacterial wipes from the shop across the road.
