The staff could not have been better and looked after us very well. Nothing was too much trouble.
A very poor shower in our bathroom
Location and view, general ambience
Had booked a double room on first floor but were allocated a twin room on the second floor. A climb to the second floor is difficult for me.
Large rooms, comfortable bed, good food
Cosy traditional hotel Nice breakfast Nice bar with good beer
quiet & Comfortable
A quirky little hotel in the quaint town of Painswick. Located across from the church and its 99 yew trees. Although the bar and restaurant were very busy at the Holidays, the noise level didn't transfer to the rooms and we enjoyed a pleasant night's sleep.
Was great before, and our redecorated room was even better. Great staff too.
No problems this visit
Off road parking Nice décor (a la Farrow & Ball) and fittings So comfy beds Well presented breakfast
Very good value, nicely decorated, good breakfast and pleasant staff.
The hotel was not full yet we were given a room with a damp problem around the window and severe condensation issue. We tried to air the room out but was not easy because of the cold weather. Perhaps all rooms have this problem, otherwise they should have given us a different room.
Great rooms, friendly staff, good food and lovely atmosphere
It was all good
Good views from our room.Even leave a pair of binoculars at the window for you to look across the valley.Shower clean and nice bedroom.Neil and his wife and daughter run the hotel. They come with a great dea of experience.
The building is grade2 listed consequently to have modern day comforts is difficult getting permission.Radiators have got to be on all the time else it is cold.Ideal for the summer but sceptical about staying in the winter.
We stayed one night and we received a warm welcome from all the staff. Our room (room7) was on the front overlooking the historic church, churchyard and clipped yews - magic! The room was large with a very comfy big bed and nice linen. Dinner was good and the breakfast was absolutely brilliant. At the price we paid this is a true bargain hotel. Will visit again in the summer.
The down side of a central stay with such wonderful views is the busy road outside the front but this did not spoil our stay as the road was much quieter through the night. Our room took some time to warm through on arrival (probably due to the massive and lovely old sash windows).
This hotel and restaurant wraps itself around you with delightful Cotswold charm. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely place to any discerning traveller.
Painwick is a truly stunning location and a picture perfect village with a beautiful church. The Falcon Inn is overlooking the church with beautiful veiws of the countryside. The staff make you feel welcome and the food is excellent. I cant wait to visit again.
Lovely small hotel, really cozy with very friendly staff. Really enjoyed the food. Had a lovely evening meal and breakfast delicious.
Having to leave!
Friendly staff excellent food and value for money
Very welcoming, friendly & relaxed Good food and wine list Great location with views of the church Nice touches, like the White Company products
Needs further investment to complete the refurbishment. Bathrooms need updating.
Restaurant on site Views from room Help from staff Breakfast The town was wonderful
The room was in a pleasant building just next to the main pub / restaurant. The decor was a little tired however is was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had the best nights sleep possible. Nice friendly service. The breakfast was good and I would stay there again.
There was no internal phone in the room which would have been useful as the heating was off and it became cold during the evening, so it would have been nice to be able to call down to request the heat be turned on. ( I was unable to get a signal on my phone to call the outside line, so gave up in the end) However in the morning, when I did get a signal - the manager came up to the room straight away with a heater and apologised. Nice guy.
staff, food!, bar, location. great service and excellent food.our room had a lovely outlook it just needed a refresh of the redecoration and then it would look excellent as a good looking building in general.
a room nearby/poss next to had a pump that was noisy during the night if toilet was flushed as was annoying.
Very warm welcome, restaurant excellent, staff very helpful, tea and coffee in room
For the size of the rooms the bed could be bigger. A king size bed would have been better than a standard double.
Location and layout of this Inn! Food was excellent! Very clean and well decorated!
Food Service Helpful Staff Dog Friendly
Beautiful town and perfect setting and view. The place was renovated with care and taste. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food
Wifi not good/powerful enough to get all devices working.
Very slow service. Female waitress very good. Male staff didn't seem to care. No preference given to residence. As walking the Cotswold Way we didn't appreciate the hour to receive the starter. Generally a bit run down.
