Overlooking the RSC Theater, this 17th-century riverside hotel has parking and a bar. The center of town is a 5-minute walk away, and the train station is a 15-minute walk from the building.
Score from 514 reviews Very good
In a great central location, this Grade II heritage-listed Georgian hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the main street and historic Shakespearean attractions. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas.

In beautiful landscaped grounds, this 4-star Holiday Inn is in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon, just over a quarter mile from The RSC Theatre.
Score from 1036 reviews Very good
The location is great, 2 minute walk to the main shopping and bars etc. Also very handy that car parking is available right behind.
I wouldn't have paid for breakfast as for £10 each we could have got much more in a normal restaurant
Really enjoyed our stay. Lots of easy accessible parking, friendly staff and hotel right in the town centre. The room had everything you need and a comfy bed.
Can't fault any part of out stay.
Good location nice food friendly staff
No mirror near the hair dryer
Excellent location close to shops and a few minutes walk from RSC, but still very quiet. Nice big room. Lovely old building with comfortable areas to sit with a drink.
I hate fixed head showers! Bed and pillows were quite hard. Plastic toilet seat was broken and although we reported it to reception it wasn't attended to. Expensive breakfast and £5 per day car parking.
Snug areas and open fires.
Bedroom and bathroom felt dated. Cost of the hotel reflected the location rather than the accommodation.
Fantastic location for a weekend visit. Friendly staff and great room
Open fires,cleanliness and great service
Nothing, loved my time here and will come back in the future
Disabled room we didn't want . Musty smell. Low sink which sprayed us with water when turned on.
Great central location, very close to RSC and all amenities. Friendly staff.
The Falcon Hotel is in a brilliant position, very close to the theatre, shops and restaurants. We had to change our room but the second room was very comfortable and quiet.
We were first given a room which had a permanent noise, we think from the air vents in the kitchen, which was below. How they expected anyone to be happy with that room, I don't know. However, the second room was fine. Breakfast was good, except that they ran out of rolls. Could they not have sent someone to get some more from a local shop, considering that we were certainly not the only guests who wanted some? There was only toast, which we had to do ourselves. Not good.
Excellent central location for town centre and RSC theatres. Modern bedrooms and old world public areas. Free wifi.
Now charging £5 for parking
The location is absolutely perfect for the town centre, restaurants and the theatre. Very hard to fault.
The only gripe was the £5 a day parking fee
The hotel is only five minutes walk from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Its staff are friendly and welcoming. The facilities are perfect for a short stay such as we had.
It took ages for the hot water to run hot. (But when it did it was very adequate.)
perfect location, quiet hotel, good quality restaurant, friendly and helpful staff and service, good showers and plenty of hot water
one of the childrens bed was really uncomfortable (very hard). the double duvet on the main bed was stained with blood (however, it got replaced by cleaning staff very quickly on request). the windows and curtains were mouldy in places the plumbing is a bit temperamantal (works ok but needs to be treated with care as the taps were rotating on their axis)
The location is excellent for the RSC and other major attractions. The car parking is also a bonus at £5. Rooms are pretty standard. If you want old beams ask for a room in the old part of the building. These are small and tend to be draughty but atmospheric.
Lovely staff & brilliant location and atmosphere
Room was a bit dark.
Room was comfortable and convenient for the town.
The view from our window was a brick wall about 600mm from the window.
This hotel is within walking distance of the theatres, being in the town centre so good for shopping too. Pre-show dinners are a great idea, starter and main course before the show, dessert and tea/coffee on your return.
The bed was very comfortable - the pillows are dreadful, thin, no support, almost non-existent. Please, Falcon, invest in some proper, plump pillows - one of your rival groups offers a choice of 'firm' or 'soft' pillows, perhaps you should do so too.
Very comfy ,well maintained. Gorgeous hotel.
noisy tv in bar
Room was a very good size and bathroom was very nice. TV worked well and there was a good selection of tea and coffee in the room.
Two single beds pushed together with single quilts, not exactly what I'd expect for a married couple or for the price. No mention of free Wi-Fi and no leaflet in room to suggest which network to connect to.
We liked the relaxed atmosphere with a good mix of 'olde worlde' charm and comfort.
We would have liked a room with beams, but realise this is difficult as we wanted a family room and these need the space of the newer rooms. Never mind.
Clean, comfy, fab room, stones throw from town and a short walk to the train station. Got a good deal on booking.com which made it more affordable. Definitely recommend
New rooms better
Wifi didn't work in room Had to ask to be moved as initial room very small No information supplied in room re hotel facilities No room service apart from breakfast?
The hotel, management, waiters, waitresses ,receptionists, domestic staff went beyond to please in everyway of our stay at the Falcon. Great team work, and a great ambiance throughout.
