What did I like?...... Would be easier to tell you what I didn't!! Just one bad point, stayed in room 4 and the shower was a bit rubbish, was running hot and cold all the time. Have written a review on trip advisor. Hotel is fantastic, relaxing, welcoming and friendly. Can't wait to go back soon. Steak night on a Friday is well worth it, cooked to perfection. Revolving pool table is a real good laugh but can make you dizzy after a few drinks. Staff were friendly and polite and could not do enough for you. Decor of the hotel is in keeping with the period of the building and I do not think this needs to be uptdated. Its beautiful and well worth a visit. Wish we had stayed for 2 night but will do next time. Room 4 the shower runs hot and cold so takes longer to get ready and makes you jump when the cold hits you!!

Lovely 1830's manor house type building with a beautiful staircase leading to pleasant bedrooms. Excellent location on the edge of Settle with wonderful views of farmland and the Yorkshire peaks. Staff were really friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Really good value for money.

Friendly and efficient staff; excellent breakfast but poor evening meal menu (didn't try it), easy walk to a lovely town, good value for money. Showers changing from freezing to scalding, power to dribble in a few seconds; lumpy bed.

Friendly manager (Phil) who made us feel very welcome and was very chatty with nothing apparently too much trouble. First floor room with excellent views of countryside and hills. On site parking at no cost. Excellent deal at Friday night Steak Night (other foods also available on same deal). Walking distance to Settle and Giggleswick. Excellent breakfast. Decor looking very tired especially in rooms. Bar only opens in evening even at weekend. There is a Cocktail Bar, as well as Public Bar, but only appeared to open Public Bar. Showers in bedrooms are very low pressure and toilet in our room (8) was difficult to flush on occasions.

I thought that the room was a little over priced at £150.00 per room for one night inclusive of breakfast.

The room smelt damp and had condensation on the windows. I had two meals in the restaurant, one was good another one steak and overall quality of leal poor was poor. I felt the attitude of the manager could have been better when dealing with my complaint, he did not accept this and was dismissive. The room was clean, but overall I can only give a " fair" rating.

Great location on the edge of the Yorkshire dales - ideal for walking holiday. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant provided good value for money. The bedrooms are looking very dated. Need to be updated and freshened up. Bed was very uncomfortable and tv had very poor reception. With a lick of paint and some new bedroom furniture this could be a very good hotel.

We used a four poster bedroom as a special treat for our Wedding Night. Despite the hiccup with booking two rooms online and only receiving one on the night until another was found we thought the room was lovely. It just made it that extra bit special. It is easy to overlook things when transfering data but we did book two rooms online for ourselves and two other guests to find on arriving that only one room had been available. It was obviously a mistake and want to thank the Duty Manager who gave up his room for our guests and for the discount given. If there had been no room for our other guests it could have been a disaster as they had travelled a long way to share our event and unlike a town there was not much choice of any other option to go.

We enjoyed our stay at the Falcon Manor Hotel. We can recommend the food as it was freshly cooked and well presented. The friday night steak night in the bar is good value for money and very popular. The hotel is well situated for walking in the Yorkshire Dales and quite central for visits to different country towns. The staff were cheerful and very helpful, we would stay again. Our only small complaint would be that the room we stayed in was at the very top of the building and we had to climb three flights of stairs with no lift. It was O.K. for us as we are quite fit, however any one with mobility problems would have found it difficult.

The food was very good. The building stood well in it's own grounds & with some outside repairs could go on to make a nice wedding venue. The Hotel is rather tired & could do with a re-fit in some of the rooms & surroundings. The bedroom we stayed in was a bit dull & the T.V. could do with an update fixing onto the wall. The beds would be better fitted with todays duvets & cushions. The lights above our bed did not work so it was very dark getting up in the night. There was carpet in the bathroom which smelt foisty
