Gadds Town House  

The room was fantastic, we stayed in Le Jardin, our own private hot tub outside, sauna in our room, huge unbelievably comfy bed, great views from our balcony area. Staff were all lovely and very pleasant and willing to help at all times. :) It was excellant, we're going to try all the different themed rooms.

It was a little bit pricey but you deffinately pay for the best.

This was a real gem of a boutique hotel. Great location, excellent food and service and our Penthouse room was superb. Would definitely recommend if you want to treat yourself to a stay in Durham city.

Fantastic hotel!

The hotel felt very luxurious, and the rooms are finished to a high standard. All the staff were very helpful and cheerful. The location is excellent, very close to Durham city centre. We ate in the restaurant both evenings, and the food was of a very high standard, beautifully presented, and excellent quality. The breakfast was also very good, with lots of choice. We will definitely be recommending Gadds to friends who would like a city break. We hope to return again soon.

Small problem with the wifi not working for the duration

Reception personell at check-in and check-out were exceptionally nice and make you feel home..Gadgets in the room needs some care a mini bar would have been nice to have, Bed was comfy towels were big and clean shower is excellent one of the best in the UK..Bathrobes looked dirty..I didn't want to touch them....I have stayed at the Premiere Room watching a movie in my room with a big screen was fun:)) Breakfast and lunch was excellent..Popcorn machine in the room was unusual that goes well with the room's theme..The blinds on the windows need improvement..

Dirty looking polyester bath robes..Remote control was broken for the gadgets films were good selection but not enough:)).

The location was ideal to have a nice walk into Durham centre n enjoy the sites n pubs, just a nice relaxing stay all round

A bit disappointed that we didn't get the room advertised

A fabulous place to say. We stayed in the Ruby room. A great experience.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Very close to the centre. Lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. Very good Thai restaurant around the corner.

The room we stayed in, being the Cruise Room, was very expensive for it's size. There was also no lift for taking the bags up to the room (we had to get to third floor). Also window slightly above the adjacent wall ventilation for what I assume was the kitchen. On the first night it woke us up at 2.30am. It was some time before we went back to sleep. When I spoke with reception in the morning it did not happen for rest of the stay.

Well located unique boutique hotel. Themed rooms decorated to a high standard and a top quality breakfast.

The staff without exception were friendly and helpful.The location is very good.

The hotel is in the middle of a refurbishment which we were not informed about prior to booking.This restricted comfort/facilities. Our room was above what we think was the air conditioning motor.This cut in at irregular intervals during the night waking us on several occasions. Breakfast did not start until 8.00am which is not helpful if you need to make an early start.

Decor a little tired in Le Jardin room & bathroom Decking area very tired & hot tub didn't feel private as another resident decided to have a mobile phone conversation right next to the trellised fence while my husband & I were in it.
