    - Staff were friendly, helpful and provided 1st class service - Food was of the highest quality and presented and served in an excellent manner, and therefore worth every penny - Hotel and Garden was lovely place to relax and chill out.

    Nothing comes to mind!

food (both dinner and breakfast), room (room 8 is very romantic and to be recommended), location (the hotel advised us a very beautiful walk by the Thames)

the young children from Asian were a bit jetlagged at dinner in the evening (but the staff managed very well)

Everything, we were looked after superbly - nothing was too much trouble. Every member of staff was really friendly and approachable, we had a lovely couple of days. Our evening meal was beautiful, true fine dining and cannot recommend it any higher.

We have nothing to say here as we loved everything about our stay.

From the minute I walked in to fallowfields, I was greeted by a really lovely man named James. Nothing was too much trouble and he managed to cater for all of my needs. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and the location was really peaceful. Sadly I was staying there on business, so I couldn't appreciate all aspects of the hotel. I will definitely be returning for a few days with my partner.

It's not a criticism of the hotel but, getting a taxi is an impossible task. The first day I couldn't find one to come to the village, so I ended up having to walk 30 minutes, which made me late for my meeting. The second day, it cost me £20 for a 1.6 mile journey, because the taxi had to come from oxford. Had I not had a lot of luggage, I would have walked again, but in the end, I had to hand over the £20. It would be helpful to have known this before I arrived. In fact it's such an issue that, I would put it in small print on the website.

Staff were great, we were given bus timetable on request which helped us so much and we especially felt the young American lady who looked after us at breakfast was brilliant on our stay, very friendly and welcoming, we really enjoyed talking with her.

Just that we had large suitcases and there was no lift to get them up the stairs. But well worth the effort for the stay, nice peaceful place.

Unfriendly lady in restaurant Shabby furnishings in one of the bedrooms booked Cost of food

The personal service and the freshness and quality of the food.

I thought the cost of the room was excessive compared to other hotels I've stayed in

Overall look and feel. Bathrooms were a nice size. Bedrooms comfortable.

The shower screens. The hotel is small with no sizeable reception room. The location is neither remote nor in a village - so is not perfect, but still in a nice rural setting.

Good-sized room, good produce used for breakfast, very quiet location.

Flies from the "farm" in which it is set. No cold shower or toilet water (due to refurbishments?) for a whole day, but no real apology, drink or gesture about the inconvenience.

The peace and quiet was wonderful. Awoke to the sound of mooing cows rather than traffic noises. The hotel is in a beautiful building and the staff and service are impeccable. The bed was comfortable and linens luxurious. The meal was delicious and I had probably the best pudding I have ever had.

Fallowfields is a large and lovely old country house with beautiful, extensive grounds and a relaxed atmosphere. It's not cheap but we were well looked after during our stay.

    Nothing of any significance.
