Staff were very helpful, the room was first class as was the dining room, although we only had breakfast there, which was very good.

Food was limited and as I was staying for business not pleasure I would have liked the option of a sandwich/snack not a gourmet meal

Relaxing and comfortable environment. Bedroom and bathroom were luxurious. Staff, very attentive and friendly. Food exquisite and well presented.

The very uncomfortable leather sofas by the log fire. The lack of cushions, curtains and rugs to soften the public areas - including the restaurant. During December public areas need to look warm as well as feel warm

Excellent small hotel with superb food at breakfast, lunch and dinner

We booked our stay as a last minute romantic break and we couldn't have picked anywhere nicer. The staff were all polite and attentive, the room was luxurious and clean, as was the bathroom, complete with jacuzzi bath! The grounds are lovely, the birds of prey and pigs are worth a walk to the end of the grounds too. Our bed was comfortable and even though our room was on the front of the hotel, there wasn't any noise from the road. Breakfast was amazing and filled us up until late afternoon. We would highly recommend this hotel and will also be visiting again ourselves, thank you!

Excellent staff, very warm and welcoming from arrival through service toour departure. First class menu with locally sourced ingredients, expertly prepared. Our room was comfortable with everything we could want.

Relaxed atmosphere. Food is excellent - both evening meals and breakfast. Home grown produce is certainly a feature.

Meals a little expensive

Ambience,large rooms. Aviaries ,pigs etc.Friendliness of staff.

Although a lovely large bed ,it was very hard.No marmalade at breakfast when the breakfast was so delicious with all free range band homemade compotes etc.and we like marmalade.

Beautiful location, friendly staff. Arrived late in the evening and wished that i could have arrived earlier to enjoy a meal and the countryside.

I loved their ethos of growing or sources food locally. It was fantastic to sit on the terrace and see the chef go to the garden and pick fresh spinach, lettuce and other veggies that were in season. The food was delicious, the falconry area was beautiful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice weekend away. It was posh enough to make it special but not so posh that I felt uncomfortable.

Our room was lovely and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and all the staff nice and friendly. We would defenitive stay again.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. They were fully informed about the hotel and knowledgeable about the food and wine served in the restaurant. The food was excellent. The bedroom was extremely spacious with lovely en-suite bathroom. Great views from the bedroom to the surrounding grounds. A very relaxing and comfortable overnight stay!

Charming location and property

All the staff were very friendly and the main reason for choosing this hotel was the Falconry available nearby. Having booked a one to one session, I learnt a lot and had hands on experience with the birds.

The room we had did not really live up to our expectations for the price charged. There was problems with the hot water which was unavailable for some time just before dinner which meant we could not shower etc. Mind you, even when the problem was fixed, the shower was so weak that it was not worth the effort.

The room was beautiful with lovely views over the grounds. The food was of very good quality. Howver the food was quite expensive.

we loved our stay, the staff were marvellous, so friendly and welcoming. A truly relaxing visit. We have already recommended it to family and plan to come back soon. Falconry was excellent!

it's a tiny niggle on an otherwise marvellous stay but presenting a bill that already has a "discretionary" service charge added is a bit disappointing at any hotel. Of course we paid it but It tarnishes an otherwise wonderful experience, which, for the sake of £9 is, I suspect, not a memory you want to leave your customers when everythng else is fabulous. Just a constructive suggestion and not a critiscism...

The friendly yet professional nature of the staff

45Min for two sandwiches on room service - if it was a big hotel you might understand, but Fallowfields isn'T.... And the bread was stale

We would certainly recommend a stay at this lovely hotel. We found all the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the restaurant was excellent. The location, whilst surrounded by the countryside, was only a 15 minute car journey from Oxford.

We loved everything about this place. We were doing a budget honeymoon and we got a great deal on Booking.com and would really, really love to go back again sometime.

Wonderful welcome. Courteous efficient staff. Excellent food much of which is grown on the premises. Falconry in the grounds (booked separately) was amazing. Can't wait till next visit.

Very nice and luxurios hotel.For german standard it would be a 5* Hotel. It is very comfortable and cosy. Staff was really courteous and attentive. There is nothing to complain about it.

Not a budget destination, but perfect for a luxury break. Take your little black dress with you - you will definitely need it for the expensive dinner.
